The fact that Fred Shero still isn't in is far more of a headscratcher to me. Shanny's time will come, probably next year, as will Lindros'. But it appears Freddy's never going to make it.

I think a healthy Ryan Kesler is better than staal currently. Both players have had injury woes. Him on Crosby's line would've been dynamite.

But seriously, the Stampede is huge. Sponsors from all over the world are involved.

I have a buddy that owns a bar, not even a pub, that really isn't even on the main drag during Stampede. He says the bars make more money over the 10 days of Stampede than they will over the other 355 days of the year.

So to answer your question... CL and Corona and whoever else sponsor the bars because they make oodles of cash doing it.

Hopefully Ray doesn't make an angry trade today in response to the terrible HHOF voters.

Any legitimate poll in DC re: worst athlete would have to list 10 Redskins/Wizards before you got to anyone on the Nats/Caps. Perhaps Redskins/Wizards players were exempted, though, because this poll concerned professional athletes.
