You guys are acting like Burke went off the board to get Reilly.
You take the BPA. Honestly, im not angry as taking a centerman at 5 would have been going off the board just to get a positional need, which is a terrible idea.

wouldn;t it be funny if Burke was able to draft Malcomm Subban, and having him and his brother playing against each other 6x a year - acresd
I heard that P.K. is available. Dressing room problems? |

I feel sorry for the kid Reilly he is getting thrown into a sh*t storm because of Burke..
square peg round hole..
we do not need more offensive minded career minus defenders we have an over-abundance of those in the system.

Yes and he ran the Kessel run along a 12 parsec route instead of an 18 parsec route.

I was upset with Kadri because his last name wasn't Schenn.
Thanks a lot Martin Gerber for that gem.
We've been more then patient with Nazem. In fact we've never been more patient with a top 10 pick
I'll give Reilly a chance, but geez, when you've had your knee reconstructed before you're old enough to rip it up while drunk on beer and end up falling down a ravine you bought legally there's a ridiculous amount of risk |

Central Scouting and the PROS make mistakes every year so their evaluations need to be taken with a grain of salt.
Big strong centers were to be had in this draft.. and if you take a look around the league.. there are very few of those that you can get easily.. or else we would've already had a few..
little puck carrying defensemen.. that are minuses are easy to get cheap.. hence the acquisition of Liles..
we need to draft centers for years until the cupboard is full.. period.

I'd just like to say, this Rielly kid is really a bust this year.
Didn't we draft him to put up points? He doesn't even have an assist yet. So much for being a good PMD.
At least he's managed to stay even in +/- |

What would you have said if the Leafs drafted Galchenyuk? Was his knee not (frank)ed too? |

What sh!tstorm? Very real chance it is atleast two years before he sees NHL time. The team could look very different by then. |

It's disgusting. Lets give him some time. We needed a center, but cannot reach that far off the board. If they think rielly was the best there at the time, then give him a chance for (frank) sakes.

What's really questionable right now is the fallout.
What does this mean for Schenn?
We have Gardiner, Blacker, Percy et al in the pipeline.
Surely something's brewing, and not just in goal. Somethign big in terms of centremen needs to be going down.

Boyd Devereaux suddenly deciding to become the 6th overall pick calibre player he was drafted as didn't help either. |

What you fail to realize is there are 17 guys logged on to this thread right now who could be better GMs than Burke.
18 if it wasn't for an 18-month ban... |
