Then the move is to move up todraft him, but that's it - coolehmon41

Two things I picked up out of the latest from Dreger and TSN interviews....
"Toronto is willing to part with a decent asset to acquire Luongo, however they would like to move a bad contract with that asset"
This is exactly what I was thinking initially...a Komisarek + Kadri "type" deal is what may happen if both GMs can agree to something.
"Staal could very well end up playing with his brother in Carolina"
Has anyone ever mentioned anything about Staal saying he wants to join his brother, or that Carolina was looking for a guy like Staal!?!...where does all this come from or is it just complete specualtion that Jordan would like to play with his older bro... - noename09
What he said about Luongo is spot on...there's never been an aversion, even from most Leaf fans to offering up a decent prospect or two, however, a salary dump would have to be included. |
|

Poor Canucks. Reading Botchford's latest article, it sounds like they're really counting on a big deal for Luongo to help them out for the upcoming season. Botchford said they're either looking for a centre to replace Kesler in the deal, or get enough assets from the deal to flip for a replacement centre. They'll be in for a real shock, because even if cap dumps are removed from possibility, they may not get much more than a prospect or two who alone won't be able to get you anything significant at centre. - p_zub
If thats the case....remove Luongos name from the above with Schneider. |

The issue I have with the "Salary dump" is that Connolly,Armstrong and Lombardi are all off the books after this upcoming season and Komisarek who I believe is the most tradeable is off the season after. I would rather suck it up for another year and not be stuck with Luongo for ten years. |

Awesome...Bobrovsky to the Blue Jackets. Another goalie Toronto had no interest in gone, and in doing so, removing one more team interested in Luongo. |

Brian burke tells me that there's a good chance they'll pick a defenceman at 5th overall. Little movement possibility as of now.#tmltalk

neither Murray not Galchenyuk will be available for you guys. Forsberg depends on what the Habs do. |

agree 100%. ya it would be great if those contracts were off the books, but burke has done a good job at at least not being anchored by long term garbage deals |

Apparently the Habs are hinting at taking Teevo or whatever
Yakupov/Murray
Murray/Murray
Teevo
Reinhart
Galchenyuk
It seems plausable that we could snag Galy |

I hope this is not bull, but Teravainen is being rumored as who the Habs are gonna pick at #3, if that's the case.... Well, the sun might shine on TO for Galy!

(frank) me..... I get that BPA is really the way to go, but really after Yakupov and Galy, everyone is close in talent and skill, until about the 8th or 9th pick, so you can pick a FORWARD |

If Leafs pick a Dman, then Schenn is most likely gone.
They're gonna try to replace him. |
