if murray is there at 4 then you take him pretty much over any forward other than yak

Wow with all my negativity it looks like Snow might actually do something this year. I am totally excited. I think just talkign about it and him being interested in real NHL players is a start. A couple of pieces and we are in the playoffs. This might be the year that the negatives turn into positives but every time I get my hopes up they are shattered.

Also I would love Jordan Staal. When Malkin and Crosby were out he picked it up and played like a real top player. I think he would fit in great here but I also feel he will cost a lot in a trade

i dont know if the isles and flyers trade but apparently the flyers want to move up big time in the draft, top 6

I prefer Ryan over Staal. For the past few seasons, Staal has been injured. I am happy if isles get staal, ryan or murray then I'm satisfied!

who ever you guys draft is going to be a very good player in the NHL if they are developed properly and you guys should be excited about whoever you draft

remember if its a defenseman (which it should be IMO) it takes them longer to reach their potential, around 25

I would take Komi for a fifth round pick...should be an interesting evening!

remember he is coming off 2 pretty serious injuries and then almost had to get hip surgery this offseason and he hasnt gotten past 50pts on a very offensively gifted team

Honestly either stay at four, trade up to 2nd or down to 7th for Reinhart

Eh, who knows what that really means. Garth was also "asking about Kovalchuk," and it turned out he had only asked if he was interested in a one-year deal.

I will say, though, that bringing in a player like that would be good not just for the team's success, but the development of the bigger, young forwards like Nino and Ullstrom. They'd get to be around a player who already is what they're supposed to become. They sure won't learn how to be true power forwards watching Grabner, Nielsen, Bailey, or any of the others on the team. Nothing against those players at all, but they just don't play a power-forward game. It's a whole different style of hockey.

I agree with Botta...the Islanders core isn't comparable to 1978...the only ones I wouldn't move are JT, Matt Moulson, Hamonic, maybe Okposo, Nilsson and Poulin...everyone else is available...

why??? the guy is a shell of what he used to be, has a big contract and is slow, and you want to include a draft pick??

fun fact for all the people in love with komi -- playing for a team you grew up with has ZERO value and will not make you a better player
