That's my favorite bit of logic that I read. JVR was a non factor last year, so we don't have to replace him. Cracks me up. That's the same as saying you don't need an injured player that was out of the lineup if a team makes a long playoff run. It's mind boggling.

JVR and Read for Ryan is a bad deal. I would pass. It's overpaying.

The problem is that you are getting one offensive player for two offensive players is not helping the offense.

What we need to do is be patient. This was JvRs third season and he was unfortunately unlucky with the injury bug. Give him this season to see what he is made of. I bet we would be very happy.

Ah.. I see your point. Your getting one player who will play top minutes. But, with the "second" player... You can increase minutes/ ice time for Schenn, Coots. They need increased minute to develop. Even if we keep JRV - At this point - I'd rather give ice time to Schenn or Coots. (As numbers go, put Wellwood or Rinaldo in on the 4th line. or sign a 4th liner UFA)
