Best defensive forward in the draft, terrific skater, high IQ, physical, good distribution and an unreal shot. People don't have him higher because he isn't flashy and doesn't try too much.

I think he's gonna be first line player for many years.

Do you have season tickets in Kitchener?

What do you mean he doesn't try too much?

Lazy? Picks he spots? He's a big kid... does he throw his weight around?

Used to. Now I have a media pass to go to any CHL building free. Saw Kitchener live over 25 times this year.

He doesn't try too much, as in, he doesn't try to wow by deking everyone and doing it on his own. He`s very much a simple offensive player who makes good passes, gets open and unleashes his bomb of a shot. He's a hard worker, and has no work ethic issues, and he's a VERY physical player. Very Mike Richards-esque with his open ice hits.

Sounds good... you should try and get a scouting job with a NHL team.

I know alot of teams have cut back with technology now... but nothing beats being @ the rink.

i feel bad for grigs hes being ripped out by everyone
- LEAFSfan28191

I'm with you there. I really do feel bad for this guy and how much of this nonsense is going on. I mean wow, the moment things start going into age conspiracies you know we've reached a seriously low point here. A really talented guy that has just become the scapegoat of this draft for some reason. I hope he still goes top 5 just to go against the ones that have been that hard on him. Would be more than happy if this mock holds true and he ends up a Leaf.

And yeah, go Faksa! Hope he becomes all that Huddle believes he can be.

Does cColumbus hiring Hartsburg make it any more likely they take Murray?

I hope you're right. If Murray is there and they pass on him, its going to be a mistake. I get the Isles draft philosophy of picking forwards and getting d-men in the later rounds, but they simply can't pass up a kid like Murray with the glaring holes they have on "D" at both the NHL level and organizationally.

FWIW, the age thing has been a rumor since 09 with Grigs. But it's just now becoming more "public", because Cox doesn't give a rats ass about saying whatever.

I honestly do. I remember seeing something the other day as well that had Faksa in the Top 5 of forwards for PPG at a certain age. Was 3rd in the OHL forwards behind Gally and Yak.

Keep in mind with Faksa, he was over a PPG, in his first OHL season, playing on eht second line with rather "meh" wingers because Spott loaded up the top line and played them 25+ a night where Faksa got like 15 minutes. Give him better wingers and more time, and we could have been looking at a guy eclipsing 80 pts in his OHL rookie season (draft year). I think he's underrated beyond all belief.

Unfortunately he can't. He'll be drafted out of the QMJHL, which means he has to play two more years in their league or the NHL, no AHL eligibility.

If the Oilers don't pick him, that's also where I expect him to be picked.

NOW ON TO FORSBERG!
