The Nash goal was 10x better, Roo did all the heavy lifting for that goal
- bigmookalookie

Roo did do all the heavy lifting so if we have a guy that does the heavy lifting for goals we don't need to pay 8 mill for someone to tap it in.

Karlsson was a plus-16 player this season after being a minus-30 last season. His 78 points were the most by a defenseman since Nicklas Lidstrom had 80 in 2005-06.

Points shouldn't be the sole measuring stick to a defensemans game.

I think he's being a female dog about it. Some one that takes his poop seriously does whatever it takes to get back into the game and make sure they are 100% by preseason. On that basis trade him because 4 mill to have him in and out of the lineup is too much for this idiot
- Philly1980

Whoever posted that the flyers want jvr to get the surgery a couple weeks ago. The picture is becoming clear. Holmer's comments and the whispers around the league clearly have this kid perched on the trade block. Why are the flyers seeking to get rid of him if they believe he can make a full recovery. It just doesn't add up.

Taking back Vinny is a deal breaker for me. Since he won the cup his game has disappeared every single year. His cap hit stinks too.

There is no "treatment" for a cam impingement outside of surgery. That is straight from my doctor's mouth. And he's not a quack. I'm guessing one side wants the surgery to happen now and the other doesn't. As I said earlier, you can play with it, but imo your performance will be diminished. Maybe JVR thinks he can somehow play through it. Maybe postpone the inevitable by a season or two.
- rockychocbill

So your saying that JVR is basically doing nothing for his hip? I'm going to go with the Doctors who have actually seen and treated JVR here. Rather then going with outdated articles and what another Doctor who doesn't even know what JVR's condition is, says.

Maybe it will be an ongoing issue with JVR. Who knows. But I'm not going to call him damaged goods when I don't know that to be the case.

And this is how this stuff starts. Because now there are other posters calling JVR an idiot!

What if the Nash deal were larger in scope?

To clb: jvr, schenn, bob, 2nd
To phi: Nash, methot

We get another physical dman to round out our core. If were including schenn i want more back

Hitchcock said 2004 Flyers best team he coached: "I thought, quite frankly, we were unstoppable."

Well, the other day he did say the Oilers were looking for another top-10 pick, and that one of the possibilities was the Canes.

Jeff Marek confirmed it as true later on the same day, and said it in fact was the Canes.

That aside, just check his tweets. It isn't all just rumors anyway.

Trading a guy who could be like Richards, along with JvR for Nash and a defensive defenseman with a $3mm cap hit? No thanks
