Just because we have more prospects then before and we were lucky enough to draft John Tavares does not mean we have shown progress. Picking in the top five for five years straight does not show progress for a "professional" sports team. - Cptmjl
When you had a system that was barren... not a single NHL prospect in it & stock it with tons of players, that is a HUGE step forward.
From that system you have filled your team with JT, Hamonic, A-Mac, Martin, Bailey, Nino...
We have Poulin, Joensuu, Strome, Cizikas, Donovan, DeHaan, coming down the pike.
Lee, Petrov, Mayfield, Ness, Nelson, Nilsson, Kabanov, whoever we pick this weekend.. a couple years away
THIS is progress.

I hate this comment, it's not true at all. I know a few. Die hard doesn't mean you blindly follow stupidity. - Cptmjl
No one said they had to, but if you stop watching the team "Die Hard Fanatic" does not apply to said person!

surprised how much Petrov upsets you... Lee is a bigger risk of not amounting to anything more than Petrov. Lee could end up being a UFA next summer.. Petrov we still retain the rights to . |

He doesn't upset me at all. It's fan stupidity that upsets me. It's delusional thinking this kid is ever coming here at this point. You guys come off as complete lemmings thinking this guy is going to come here. It's one thing to be positive it's a whole other thing believing in things that just aren't reality or are ever going to happen. |

You are bringing up a player who will never play for this team, it doesn't bolster your position in any way. You guys always throw this kids name around, some of you were putting him on the first line with Tavares for this upcoming season |

Everyone bolded either sucks or has proved little to nothing at all. They are prospects which is good but saying we have taken a HUGE step forward is nuts. "Step forward" usually means the team is showing progress(standings, etc), we have not. |

I still like A Mac and think he will rebound next year but spot on with the rest. |

I like him too and hope he will but right now he had one decent season which means very little in the big scheme of things. Especially with a "rebuilding" team. |

Can anyone tell me if PA Parenteau is siging with the Isles or is he going to free agency. If he goes to free agency is there still a good chance the Isles will resign him? Will he be good without JT and Matty? |

Might be a Hab!!!
You never know... if he get's similar offers or Garth is willing to match the other offers out there, he would be a fool not to come back and play with JT and Matty.
It's not everyday you get a chance to play on a top line with a guy like Tavares.

Thanks, I really like him a lot. He has great vision and the chemistry with JT and MM. I think he may go for the big money but will never enjoy his hockey the same way. Hoping he resigns after July 1st withIsles and I will grab him in our free agent draft. |

Why would the Isles draft Subban's brother? Another goaltender? We already have three highly regarded goaltending prospects in the system.
I'm sick of the speculation. Just get the draft over with. I hope Snow doesn't "F" this up. |

I think this team needs to make an all out push for Shea Weber, regardless of what it takes, short of Tavares. If it means Bailey AND either Niederreiter or Okposo, so be it. They're never going to win with Hamonic, MacDonald, Streit and three second tier and/or rookie players on the back end.....especially if they have any brilliant ideas about putting the Boy Wonder back into the net... - dcb1
