Its Genius really.

That is not to say I agree with it, but its not against the rules of the cap, its not an issue brought up in the CBA... if Wang goes this route i can't fault him for it... I can disapprove... but i understand.

Boy, if only this pure genius could be used to build a quality team rather than for finding creative ways to violate the spirit, if not the letter, of the salary cap rules, we might actually be getting somewhere

He will throw money at some big free agent he will turn us down and go elsewhere, Snow ill say they tried, Wang will blame the arena, and then sign some cast offs that are at the end of there career. Happens every year around here. We all have high hopes for free agency and trades when nothing happens we wait to see which guys get released before teams set there roster to see who we can grab, when that goes by we just wait and see who the Islanders will get rid of by the trading deadline when they are irrelevant again

Cause he brought him back will resign Staios and PAndolfo and say becasue we signed JJ we are a better team. Like we have no room for everyone else. Come on now do you really have confidence in a GM who has done except build up the prospects? He has done nothing for the NHL ISLANDERS, but has done great filling spots for the lower leagues. I dont know most GMs also worry about the team in the NHL but we are for some reason backwards.
- kasperrko

can you explain the contract that JJ signed....im pretty sure you arent even aware that chances are he will end up back in europe....can we agree on that???

you my friend, hands down, make the most islander-lopsided offers EVER!!!!

AWFUL!!!

- LetsGoIsles

At first look, It is lopsided but according to John Jaekel the Hawks blogger...the Hawks like Reasoner...they say he would fit into their plans...so it's not so awful...

I remember that post when you gave credit to xXx and used his quote. We all had a good laugh that day.

And if memory serves me. You brought xXx to tears!

dude, they might be interested in the guy, but if us retards can see how badly reasoner played this past year, the SCOUTS and PROFESSIONALS who get PAID to watch and evaluate players CERTAINLY also saw it and will NOT be willing to give up a 26 year old forward and a 25 year old defenseman for a 35 year old 4th line center and a DRAFT PICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so YES, IT IS SO AWFUL!!!!!!

Speak for yourself. Those same professionals that thought Rolston, Pandalfo, Mottau, and Reasoner were a good fit for our hockey club?

I wrote to the Hawks blogger John Jaekel (sp) and he said he heard the Islanders made an underwhelming trade proposal for Kane. He said the Hawks are looking to get rid of Hjalmarsson...my offer of a 3rd rd pick and Reasoner (Hawks like him) for Hjalmarrson and Stalberg might work....didn't know if the Hawks and Islanders were talking though...
- kear20

He must be high if he even thinks that might work. A 3rd round pick and Marty Reasoner wouldn't come close to getting us Stalberg only, let alone a throw in of a pretty good defenseman.

So, would it be wise for Garth to start drafting & signing EVERY goalie prospect on Earth, thus creating a stranglehold at the position so by Year 15 of the rebuild there isn't a goalie outside of Men's Beer League available to play for the other 31 teams?

Scouts and Professionals was written in a context where it could be taken as any "scouts and professionals". I knew how he wrote it and who he was referring too. I ran with it to make a joke. Are you going to be an annoying person now too?
