What do you think about grigorenko? - mykokes
40 goals and 85 pts in 59 games in the QMJHL year before his draft.
Zack Phillips drafted last year 28th overall had 38 goals and 95 pts in 67 games also at centre in the QMJHL.
Based on that and never having seen him play it tells me 2 things. 2012 is a weak draft year if Grig was once as high as 2nd overall in the rankings and 2 he isn't going to be a 1st line guy, but you never know. Still so young and may other intangibles. |

So you use the 35th on a 19 year old passed over twice who was dreadful the year he was supposed to be drafted over guys who were 20x better at the same age? Sounds great - AdamFrench
seems like a Leafs thing to do, no? |

In many different scenarios, i do believe burke will make a move for a goaltender, either if its for luongo or go the more appropiate route and acquire bernier, rolling with bernier, reimer, and scrivens to see who pans out as number one.
My projections:
1) We will sign Justin Schultz.
2) Make a strong offer for parise
3) Trade up in the draft acquire columbus 1st rounder 2012 for ours and franson perhaps? We draft Galchenyuk
4) Trade for bernier or luongo. Though i agree with people saying if we take the game on bernier we are not tied up with a long contract, therfore we get to see out of the three who pans out the best.
5) With our 2nd rounder, draft oscar dansk or vasilevski if still available for goalie.
Thus:
Kessel ____?____ Lupul
Kadri Grabo Mac
Frattin Bozak Kul
Brown Stecks Connolly
Gunner Phaneuf
Gardiner Schultz
Liles Schenn
Ex: Holzer
Bernier
Reimer
Scrivens |

He's got plenty of options.
The Leafs have one option, Luongo. That puts Burkie in a very tough spot.
Gardiner, Schenn + 1st for Luongo. - Scooby_Doo
Leaf have the option of not doing Gillis any favours.
Komisarek and a 2nd. Maybe a middling prospect, if Vancouver takes Connolly or Armstrong as well. |

Gee, you make it sound like Luongo is the only possible option!
Sure, Burke is under some pressure to see the Leafs into the playoffs, but I'm also guessing that Gillis is under much more pressure to win a cup while their window is still open for the next couple seasons. We both know that the Canucks have never had a better team than now and that their window won't stay open forever, especially with the Sedins only getting older. That said, if the Canucks are in "win mode" now, it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense to have $5M sitting on your bench every night, does it?
Furthermore, it also looks like the West is getting a lot tighter with Edmonton's rebuild, Detroit having LOADS of $$$ to spend this off-season, Phoenix starting to become a legit concern, Blue putting together a solid team, Chicago/Nashville/San Jose are always a threat and lets not forget the Kings etc . So again, does having $5M sit on your bench make sense?
What happens if Schneider makes it to July 1st unsigned and Luongo still hasn't been dealt?
Make no mistake about, it's in Gillis and the Canucks' best interest to move a goalie this summer and EVERYONE knows it! If Luongo is moved, Canucks fans should be happy that that contract of off the books. - As_I_See_It
there have been successful teams with 8-9 million tied up in a goalie tandem, there have been teams that sent their 4-5 million dollar players to the minors. for example if he isn't traded and chooses not to report to training camp until a deal is sorted out he's off the cap and the canucks can fill that roster spot
what established winning goalie is left? like i said before, the canucks still make the playoffs with him on or off the bench, the leafs aren't a serious contender if they don't fill their glaring hole in net |

why would they take a potential healthy scratch to replace a guy that would be sitting on the bench? if you're getting a 60 game player you better believe you're giving up at least one back |

Just a thought and i know most of you would hate on it though it makes sense. We have no number one center right? Bozak is NOT a number one center. What if next season we dont acquire a center? What if we rolled with Kadri or Galchenyuk (if drafted)? I think Galchenyuk would need one year in the AHL since he missed a full season for our team or any team personally.
Kessel Kadri Lupul
Kul Grabo Mac EDIT
Frattin Bozak Connolly
Crabbs Stecks Brown
I put kadri 1st line center because its time to see how our so called number one prospect pans out in a full season with our two top players. And i DO 100% believe kadri can do just as good or better than bozak in a full season. Kadri has more potential and it is his time to show what he can do with two top guns on both of his sides. Just my opinion since bozak is better on the third line and is decent in our zone. He fits the bill for 3rd line center. |

How about Schiender goes to arbitration then hits the UFA market after this year. Want to be stuck with Louongo for 10 years? |

Is it Mill Street that makes the Coffee Porter also? That stuff is good - GoneFullRetard
Yup, mill st. is an awesome brewery... better yet: Muskoka. IMO, the best microbrew in Ontario.
edit: their cobblestone stout is really good. You can find it on tap in a few places. No idea why they don't bottle that one.
Also, their lemon tea beer: only worth it if you get it on tap... in can it loses all its flavour. |

I don't think they sell it in stores - as far as I know, you have to go to their brew pub. And I think they only have it on tap in the winter. - Atomic Wedgie
Really ....gonna have to remember that one. We go there all summer after our games so I've never been able to try that one.
Does it go with Nacho's? ...cuz there nacho's are great. |
