Bolland and Crawford is better and Komisarek. - stormeyAlterEgo
You really think the Canucks will trade with one of their biggest rivals? |

Why only one year with Schneider. Pretty sure 3 years at 4 mill per would be doable.
Your analogy at the end is fitting however I doubt he would pick up a homeless person at the bus station and take him home and feed him for the next two years (Komisarek) - stormeyAlterEgo
Because Schnieder won't sign for any more than he has to, if Luongo is still in the stable. |

I've just got this weird feeling Luongo's going to end up in SJ. It wouldn't be the first time Doug Wilson made a huge, surprise move in the offseason.
I could see Luongo+ for Niemi and Marleau.
Let's hope I'm wrong though. - sjsharks92
I could see Luongo, Booth + Raymond for Thornton + Clowe |

Burke gets fired if the Leafs miss the playoffs. Luongo is his only ticket to the playoffs.
Gillis knows this and is going to fleece Burkie. - Scooby_Doo

He's got plenty of options.
The Leafs have one option, Luongo. That puts Burkie in a very tough spot.
Gardiner, Schenn + 1st for Luongo. - Scooby_Doo
I give this a 0% chance. I don't doubt that Vancouver would demand it, but this isn't a situation where Luongo HAS to go to the Leafs. Everyone would agree we'd be much better off rocking Reimer and Scrivens and keeping those three assets. |

you're nuts.. why in hell would chicago give up anything of value?
as soon as a second team enters the picture and the price goes up the two GM's will drop out quickly.. nobody wants a guy signed til he is 43.. plain and simple
luongo will not get a good return... mark my words. - Dozzer
Anything of Value??? You do realize that guys like Komisarek and Connolly have a negative value right.
I'm not saying a great return...but if it's Komisarek or Connolly there will be more involved from the Leafs perspective. Mark my words. |

Florida is below the cap floor and luongo lives there. He canbe there starter and teach markstrom then leave when markstrom is ready. Gillis hates burke so if he is trading luongo for spare parts cause he can't find a deal it sure as hell won't be toronto. So good luck with your low ball offers because MG would rather trade with the panthers like he has in the past many times. |

Chicago doesn't have the cap...
But florida is a good idea....
Bring Luongo back to where he started off...
They have a ton of room... Theodore only has 1 year left and played very shaky.. Clemmenson is a UFA.
It makes sense. It would put fans in the stands. - JVince117

that has gotta be one of the dumbest trade proposals i have seen on this sight - Dozzer
really? that's the dumbest...
Someone from Toronto said Luongo for Komisarek + 3rd.
If Toronto is the trading partner, I could see Schenn, MacArthur + 2nd being the deal. |

They have a negative value because you watch Leaf fans tear them apart so much. Connolly has one more year left, he is an easy out for Vancouver. Komisarek, although never living up to expectations in Toronto, can be a decent bottom pairing Dman, who brings some much, much needed toughness to Vancouver. |

I guess he could but I doubt he would.
Schneiders agent: "my client should be paid like a number one."
Canucks: "Why? He's always been a back up."
Independent arbitrator looks at the stats......Schneider is not going to be happy.
The Canucks could take him although I doubt they do, hoping to sign him to a long term deal. - stormeyAlterEgo
But what's the better option to getting that pay day? ....signing a modest 3 year deal at the risk of sharing time with Lou? ...or riding it out for 1 possibly strike shortened year then signing some mega-deal as a UFA next summer? I like the latter choice better if I'm his agent. UFAgency is where you get max pay.
Parise made that same choice. |

If he doesn't, than he is stuck with a goalie with a 10 year contract.
Whats going to happen when Schneider needs to resign?
Going to be pretty awesome when Schneider is stuck behind Lu, and than he asks for a trade. |

If the Canucks are taking back salary...pretty sure Chicago could dig up 5 mill in cap space to go back that is better than Komisarek or Connolly.
See...this is what I don't get. Why do you think it's ok for Toronto to be able to give back crap salary and not a team like Chicago??? - stormeyAlterEgo
Because Chicago hasn't expressed any interest whatsoever in getting Luongo. |

There has to be youth or a decent 2nd round or better pick..
I liked my idea of the 2013 conditional pick.. where if Luongo wins X amount of games its a 1st rounder.. or if toronto makes it to the playoffs its a 1st rounder but if he doesn't meet one or both of the criteria its a 2nd rounder. |

The pattern will likely continue until the kool-aid drinkers suddenly see the light and know that the problem is and always has been Burke. All these bad deals have one thing in common they were masterminded by Burke. - spatso
And if Ottawa ends up in the bottom 5 next year? |
