Center Chris Kelly resigns with Boston today for a 4 year 12M deal.. Now he had 12 points in 25 points season games... and he also had 59 points in 82 games this year..

Wait a minute... that is more points in a season than Grabo's had 1 season in his career and less money than Grabo!?!?! BLASPHEMY!!

Must have been a Cap Circumvention deal huh??

Pavelski's 66, 61, 51, and 59 point seasons are no match for Grabos 59, 51, and 48 huh?

Interesting...

How about Franzen's 56, 55, and 59 point seasons?

How about Roy's 81, 70, 69 and 63 point seasons?

Those all look better than Grabo and make less..

- JVince117

Interesting - 'cause clearly Pavelski would have those point totals playing for a last place team rather than a front runner... but that's a side note...

I believe the question you want to ask yourself - now take this slow - is...

what will these player resign for?
do you think Roy's going to resign for less than 5M? Pavelski?

@DennisTFP hi, what do u c the blackhawks doing this offseason?" Have to find legit 2C. Think offer Kings Jarret Stoll.

I like the idea of Chicago offering for Stoll

Who would Chicago even offer up if this were the case?

But you were trying to prove he had value because he was rumoured to be about to be traded to a bunch of teams who "low-balled the sh!t out of Buffalo" becuase they have a low opinion of him.

Looking forward to your "you are an idiot" response

- Canada Cup

Teams really did low ball us for a while because we were a garbage last place team. And we don't call people idiots here, that would be dense.

That wasn't addressed to you... so don't reply back to it..

Can't you just go and put your sh!tty 2 cents some where else and ruin that conversation.. me and that mkfreedom or something like that were talking..

traffic = go play in it.

@DennisTFP Can you see the Sharks runners in Parise if they get trade one of the core players like Marleau, etc?

@sharkfan20 Sharks trying very hard to deal Marleau. Can't see a Nash deal without that move first.
@DennisTFP what type of moves to you see happening in SJ? Possibly trading Marleau? Maybe moving Murray with Stuart coming in? SJ trying to find a way to move Marleau but NMC limits options somewhat. Yes, Stuart in means a defenseman on roster goes.

Interesting.....

Still dont see how this team even thinks they are capable of getting Nash or Parise

We all do know that Toronto definitely has a perfect idea of the price for all of their players... I can't imagine how sh!tty Toronto would have been with those extra what 3 1st round draft picks that they traded for Kessel.

nah... couldn't be.

If Roy wants to continue to play in the NHL he will have to probably take a pay cut or not move more than 500k higher in salary.. he was on a point per game basis in 2010 but then tore his quad. .and last year only had 44 points in 80 games.

So yea.. I would bet that Roy is not going to get a deal paying him more than 5.5M unless next year he gets over the 65-70 point plateau.

I got money that says Buffalo looks deep into Marleau or Thornton.. not good moves for our long-term franchise... but Buffalo is desperate for a 1C.

If you had Jonathan Quick, and Martin Brodeur (for instance), who would you keep? I'd be fine keeping both if a good deal doesn't come back. Don't want Komisarek or Connolly.

I have a feeling the flyers will target Weber, if Suter stays in Nashville. Schenn, JVR, 1st for Weber?

- lkeh73

More like if you had quick/brodeur/bernier (schneider/Luo/Lack) who would you pick.

given canucks window is now and a couple more years. Schneider makes sense.

If looking forward, keeping lou for a couple so lack can get some experience would work, since schneids would get a bigger return.

You really don't think that they might have "low-balled" because they didn't think he was worth that much.

I cdertainly didn't read a lot of love for him from you guuy last year

Just like everyone wants AzhirKareen Kadri too huh??

I loved all of that chatter last year about how Kadri alone could net Nash. STFU.

he was up and down with his play.. i think it was like a day or two before the deadline he had like a 4 point game.

I think a lot of Sabre fans wanted to trade him.. but only for the right price.

so you believe he'll sign for something in the range of 5M then? which would make him overpaid by a little - kinda like Grabovski, but with better dives?

Grabo is 27... Roy is 29..

Roy has had seasons of 63, 81, 70, and 69 already in his career.. he is quite a bit more deserving of that kind of contract that Grabo is. You can talk about dives all you want.. but at least Roy has produced major points and is much more worthy of that kind of money.

Take off your blue and white homer glasses..
