It would be awesome. I keep reading that Toronto is one of the favorites. Not sure if that is due, in part, to the Toronto media or if it's true. I've read stuff about the Oilers being in on him as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Rags get him, considering he's a Wisconsin boy like Stepan and McDonagh.
Hope Snow at least does his due diligence in trying to acquire him. Not getting my hopes up though, he's not coming here. - eichiefs9
Supposedly some kind of tampering rumors going around with Gardiner contacting him on Burkes behalf, I don't know if there is any substance to it? |

Yeah I saw that, I also read that it may not be completely credible. It's possible ANA is doing it just to try and get some sort of compensatory pick out of Toronto for him. I truly have no idea though. |

If were going to blow someone out of the water with an offer I'd much rather see him do it on Parise or Suter. Or to a far lesser degree, Semin.
At least we already know these guys can be productive NHL players.
Although blowing Schultz out of the water would be far cheaper than the other guys. Matt Gilroy got $3.5mil over 2 years coming out of BU undrafted. I would imagine Schultz gets something similar. |

Me too chief. I'm trying not to think about Parise and Suter though. I was only kidding about Snow blowing Schultz out of the water. Will not happen. |

Yeah, Schultz sounds great from what I've read but so did Gilroy and Bozak(decent). If we were ever fortunate enough to land Parise or Suter it would make a significant improvement real quick in our team. There is a slim to none chance of this happening though. We need to shore up our D, that IMO is our most glaring need. We can't expect Dehaan and Donovan to come right in and play big minutes, if they do great but it certainly shouldn't be counted on. |

If bashing Richards, whose leadership helped the Rangers to first place in the east and to the conference finals makes you feel better, have at it. Again, and again and again. - Downeaster
Who's bashing Richards, I wrote what was reported and used his own words, stats and documentation of how he was played vs how Msg said he would be played.
I brought up front-loaded contracts and included Richards season full of struggles. Then you claimed everything I wrote was a lie so I found the articles and comments to document it and compared the mediocre at best results of both teams back to 1997.
This is nothing new with the Rangers.
This is New York, Rangers hockey is not relevant so who cares if the Rangers contract or move. Jeremy Lin got 10x more coverage than a cup, Dolan moved playoff games off Msg so Knicks regular season games got center stage. I'm sorry your team got little respect and no backpages in first place for six months and the Yankee rumors kicked game 5 of the conference finals at Msg to the curb.
I trashed the Kings and their management after they won the cup by writing they made two playoffs since 2001? What's not true about that statement. |

Isles should look at Doug Murray from the Sharks to trade for. One year left on his deal at 2.5 mil. Hes a stay at home D-man and the sharks need to get rid of someone on the D to save cap. It's def worth taking a chance on him for a year. |

I'd love him, but given the Isles history with signing free agents it would have to be a real steal to roll the dice on him. Not going to pay a lot for a guy to walk after 1 season. |

We just cut three coaches. To cut salaries don't you need to have people making salary? I'm not sure how much further the Isles can cut? |
