We're talking about an elite defenseman in his prime. It cost a lot to get an old Pronger. Weber would/is going to fetch a ridiculous amount for the Preds. - stveshdy
Prongs was old but he was one on the best still is too until his injury he one of the most feared dman in the league weber is a lot like prongs |

Seems like a fair trade and the 2013 draft class is supposed to be deep. But is the flyers resign jags and carle I don't think they will be doin much unless it's a trade - griouxmvp2012
Does seem fair but all it takes is another team to up that offer and add another 1st, 2nd , 3rd rounder. You just never know what a desperate team would do to acquire Weber. |

This is my opinion of course but Pronger at 34 is not the player Weber is at 27. Weber is in his prime, Pronger is coming out of it. I still respect Pronger and think he's a hell of a player. |

That I do agree with. Homer makes a lot of deals with the Preds. There's no doubt that Homer would be one of the GM's all in for Weber. I think he would be willing to trade anyone on the roster other than Giroux. |

Couldn't agree more I feel bad for him is sucks when a player has to hang it up because of injury. Like lappy he is supposed to announce his retirement after the cup |

You would think the pool of teams to get Weber would be relegated to pretty much the big market teams. If a team is going to give up a lot of assets to get Weber, they're going to want to sign him long-term. Don't think Weber would be signing long-term with the Isles. Second, I would assume Poile would probably prefer to trade Weber out of the Western Conference. Honestly, I think it really comes down to the Rangers and Flyers. Poile would be skewred if he traded him to Detroit. |

Never hurts to dream. He may be available if he doesnt like the direction Nashville is heading. If Nashville cant get him to agree to a contract they have no choice but to deal him. |

That's all up to weber really if he don't wanna sign there he won't and he will sit out until December and he will become a fa he really has the leverage I don't think Nashville is just gonna let him go gor nothing |

Agreed. Never want to see a career cut short because of injuries. Pronger was a great player who laid it out on the line every single night. |

Boston, Washington and Pittsburgh would all be in on Weber as well. Assuming that the Preds trade him out of the West. |

No doubt. Your talking about arguably the best defenseman in the NHL in his absolute prime.

With Thomas on the books and what d-man would the Bruins trade to the Preds of interest? Poile would want Letang back from the Pens. McPhee from the Caps has never shown the interest in making blockbuster trades in the past. I still think it comes down to Slats or Homer. |

Nashville isn't going to do the Flyers any favors for Weber. If they're looking to move him, I'm sure the word will go out league wide.

Schenn shouldn't be untouchable when it comes to Weber.
