I'm not arguing his stats or performance since coming to the Leafs, I'm merely pointing out the fact that Komisarek wasn't "a healthy scratch" because he sucked as a few people were alluding to. He was "scratched" because he was still recoving from a broken arm and there was no rush.

I'm also not saying that Komisarek's value is massive either, but he does have value and in the right situation I believe Komisarek could thrive.

Any way you cut, I think Komisarek's days in T.O. are numbered given the acquistion on Franson, the emergence of Gardiner, potentially/hopefully the addition of Schultz in a few weeks, specualation that Holzer might be ready, not to mention that the Leafs drafting a D-man isn't beyong the realm of possibilities either and of course potential FA's this summer.

The bottome line is that Burke will likely be trying to include him in a package this summer and whether you agree or not, Komisarek has value.

There would be no reason to put him back on the active roster until he was ready to actually participate in games - it would be an unnecessary cap hit to take.

Komi wasn't placed back on the active roster until he was 100% medically ready to play.
