Cloutiers blog hints that Burke and the Leafs were tampering with Schultz . If this is true I would like to see them lose all their draft picks this year and fined 1 mil. This is not the first time this cheating basstard has been caught.

How else will Burke make the leafs relevant? They have tried the normal route (drafting, trading, FA signings, development) and had little success. So why not cheat? The leafs are running out of options...

Reality tv show? Fans could try out for their #1 goalie and centre spots. Burkie could hand out a rose-coloured mini stick to those who made the cut at the end of every show.

Although, I guess Florida already kind of did this.

Burkie and his troop of incompetence get paid a lot of money. They need to explore every avenue possible.

Media Release: #Canucks have signed centre Alex Friesen.

Could he fill the role of 3rd line center? Sounds like he had a pretty good year last year.

In terms of drafting grit, how has nobody mentioned the son of Ulf, Henrik Samuelsson?

Here's a kid who is a natural center, can apparently play wing and is 6'2, 215 pounds at the age of 18. Plays big and nasty with a wicked shot and is Swedish to boot.

Huddle ranked him going in the first round, 28th overall.

Just what the Canucks need, the son of a Knee hunter that turtles when challenged. That will do wonders for our reputation around the league.

I'm going to guess that if this was true it would be all over the news in Toronto about the potential tampering and not just from Minnesota.

This is not some Marchant we are talking about here, and at this point does anybody really care about our reputation? Dammed if you do, dammed if you don't.

At this point it wouldn't matter if we had Linden centering Iginla and Jesus. People and the Media outside Vancouver would still find a way to rag on the Canucks.

Hey Juice.
Every team cheats, every team has players who dive. I was just 'fishing' to see if I could generate a response. It was an easy shot and I took it. But you have to admit that it’s fun to make fun of that management group.

I mean, look at these two! They seem to gain a pound of weight for every loss. I swear, one day Nonis is going to explode.

I do think Friesen will be a regular NHLer someday, but his numbers last season were as an OHL overager. He'll need at least two seasons in the ECHL/AHL before he's close to ready, unless he sees some miraculous offseason development.

With a 1st line like that the Canucks would no longer have any scoring issues for the playoffs and the haters would be forced to love Vancouver.

Edit: slancash I would have to disagree and say Jesus would be centering Linden and Iginla though. It would be a waste of His talent on the wing.

Haha either way. All three would sacrifice their bodies for a chance at the cup.

Ah, the Burke cam. That guy needs to know when to get out of the spotlight. He should order some tinted glass for his GMs box.

I can't wait for Burke's presser after the Leafs aquire Luongo. It's going to be a beauty.

If he gets Lu, he'll have a reason to be excited. That dude will spike the football and do a little dance.

Which is why his presser will be awesome. It wouldn't surpeise me if he did the whole thing with a tiara on.

He can announce it during the gay pride parade. He'll be the city's sweetheart again for realz.

Not that there is anything wrong with that. I'm sure the gay community in Toronto has a ton of hockey fans and would love to see some playoff games in their city.

As if. Most will be jumping up and down. And the rest will certainly come around when Lu keeps them in the playoff race when the late season collapse comes around.

I seen some comments earlier . We don't need to make the playoffs. Their brains have gotten numbed like a person going without sex..
