For Bogosian, I'd would consider offering MPS. I doubt WPG wants Hemsky as his contract is twice as big and he is UFA and WPG would want a smaller salary plus RFA status player. It would be MPS+ though. Maybe MPS+Omark or MPS+Lander - deks1
For Eberle, I'd consider moving Scheifele.
Doesn't mean it's in the same ballpark. Most Jets fans will tell you Bogo is more untouchable than Kane. Your "dropping like a stone in value" MPS is a fallacy if you think he's worth anything close to Bogo.
He would be the 3rd or 4th smallest piece in a package for Bogo. Not a huge chip, lol. Awful awful Edmonton proposals in this one. Cloutier brings out the the homers is droves. |

Now that works out even better for the Jets, trade away Carolina's pick, get back assets and still have their own.... Not sure that has been done before? - Tapdog
Hawks just offered the Columbus's #2 overall for Jordan Staal |

Yakupov + RNH + Hall + Eberle for either Bogo or Kane? |

MPS straight up for Enstrom is my offer. - wolfie
Easy no.
There's not a prospect in the world whose value has fallen more this season than MPS. |

Yeah I disagree with the Oneonta Penguin guy in that Hemsky doesn't have a lot of value, but is certainly someone the jets among other teams could 'use'. I would add a prospect dman as well to get it done.
That being said, I do agree with him that I don't think it's a good fit. If the Jets were hypothetically intent on shopping Enstrom, something close to that would be the Oil's "take it or leave it" offer. - Morris
I would rather the Oiler passed and see what Petry will do this year. He got 25 pts last year and really played well as the season ended, he also played well in the WHC for the USA. Expectations could be 40 points this year? Considering the talent up front and Petry's confidence level, he should be ready to have a good season. I am not looking at holding that back for Enstrom. Besides I still hold out hope J. Shultz will consider us? Both will play a better all round game.
If the Oilers are going to make a deal they should just pay the price and go after a top offensive dman and Enstrom is not it, although I do not see them doing this until next year.

You might not want to make that deal (i think it's one-sided as well) but if Yakupov is closer to Pat Kane, you wouldn't trade Bogo for Kane?? - Morris
I wouldn't trade Bogo for Pat Kane, no.
We need size up front more than a small skilled winger. We are small up the middle already... |

Ahhh what a year does, Bogo prior to last season could have been had for far less than Paajarvi. He played much better this year and now he is the second coming!
No worries, we will hang onto Paajarvi and see how he comes around. |

That's the thing. Paajarvi had a very solid rookie year. He got lost in the shuffle last year but the kid still has very good potential. He's as fast as anyone and draws a ton of penalties due to his speed.
The reason that he's being thrown into every deal has more to do with the fact he's 5th on the depth chart for wingers if the Oilers draft Yakupov. With all of Hall, Eberle, Hemsky and likely Yakupov being ahead of him.
He has the potential to be a legit top 6 guy in the right situation. He could just as easily end up being another Radek Dvorak(which isn't all bad).
There is a reason Bogosian wasn't moved last year. The Jets did the right thing and have been patient with him. It took Smid awhile to figure things out and it looks like Bogosian is following a similar path with more offensive potential.
Winnipeg is fairly deep on the blueline and need the most help at C with RW a close 2nd. MPS plays both wings. Hemsky is a RW. Those would be the 2 I would be targeting if I were Cheveldayoff with Hemsky being the more proven commodity. |

That's bonkers. Pat Kane is good enough that if you could have him for Bogo, it doesn't matter much what your team needs are. |

what about this?...
WPG = 1st Rounder (Yakupov), Marincin, 4th Rounder
EDM = 1st Rounder (9th), Kane, Enstrom
OR forget Enstrom:
WPG = 1st Rounder (Yakupov), 3rd Rounder
EDM = 1st Rounder (9th), Bogosian
Maybe?... |

2nd ones better then the 1st for sure.
I can see a deal of Paajarvi for Enstrom. Very interesting concept.

This off-season has been awful thus far, which is crazy considering there's technically still hockey being played. |

It's awfully hard to make such a bold statement at this juncture. I will say no. Kane himself still has room for improvement. He isn't that close to reaching his ceiling just yet. |
