and will demand huge contracts, plus Ryan is the youngest. IMO Perry and Ryan Stay, Getz will be traded.

Traded for what? You dont trade a 1st line, captain, center on a whim... esp. one that won a cup with that team.

If the rumors out of buffalo were true, which they came from multiple sources, They were willing to trade Getz for Myers. Plus that number 1 center had a career low in goals, about to be a UFA so there is no guarantee in keeping him, plus rumors of him wanting to leave, There has been alot of talk aboput a Getz trade, it's not out of the relm of possibility, it's about as likely as them trading Bobby Ryan

IMO the rangers pp faltered because they had no one on the point that could take a good one-timer and put it on net (not to mention their troubles moving the puck). If I remember correctly I believe correy potter was doing pretty well on the Edmonton pp this year because he was consistently able to blast one timers and actually hit the net.

I can guarantee you they do not trade Ryan without locking up Getz and Perry first, they dont risk losing three star players in a year

This is true. But I also don't see them trading either Perry or Getzlaf in the offseason. The Ducks finished strong and I don't think they want to blow up the team without seeing how they start. A weak start and I could see them being traded.

There are rumors coming out of Buffalo every minute, I dont believe a thing that comes out of there. In the last year, there have been rumors that buffalo has been in on every active player in the NHL.

Also there has been about 4 major moves out of Buffalo in the last year ( Hodgson,Regehr,Ehrhoff, Leino) so yea Buffalo becomes a speculated team when it comes to players being moved now, kinda like how the Rangers are mentioned when it comes to free agency.

If they dont make the playoffs next year i would bet 1 of them is gone at the deadline, they need depth, and unless they have 1 or both of them locked up why would they assume both wont want to hit the open market??

No your right, Getzlaf is untouchable. He had 10 goals this year and is about to be an UFA after next year. Yet their perrenial 30 goal scorer who is 25 and locked up for years is the 1 who will be traded, your the funny one

Ducks have no long term contracts and a ton of money to spend next year. They can be involved in getting a big name defenseman that is available and still be able to spend a lot to get big name forwards. I don't see why they would jump ship at all really.

Dont take my words out of context, this had nothing to do with the rumor... and everything to do with only THIS site.

Jump ship? No, but why would they give both Perry and Getz huge money if they continue to slide, not to mention, Getz hasnt had 20 goals in 3 years. it hasnt worked in Anaheim since they won the cup, which by the way was when they were rookies. Both Perry and Getzlaf would get incredibly high offers on the FA market so there not gonna resign cheap, Ryan is there most consistent player and he is the youngest, if anything he is the last player besides Fowler I would trade.

Getzlaf has never scored more than 25 goals. He generates assists with his power forward style of play. He had and off year but so did the entire team. His success is just as much on himself as his teammates. You say, "if they continue to slide" which nobody can predict. But one off year isn't a slide. Multiple years of playing worse than you once did is. Neither player has.

Nobody can predict if they continue to slide, but if they are so content and dont want to change things why would they trade there most consistent player??

In getting Nash, it would involve a salary(hopefully Gaborik's). I forgot to add that part in.

And yes I don't want the Rangers going crazy with free agency, it would be unnecessary for them to try and outbid for Parise or Suter

I really was hoping that one of Cersi, Joffery or Stannis would have died.

I couldn't possibly explain how little i care about the memorial cup. I like me some junior hockey, and i prefer it over the AHL, i should have been watching it though due to the hab prospects left, i just didnt. Although everytime a french guy does anything ie ices the puck, i get updates on the habs thread, so in essence i didnt even really have to watch it.
