i know i might sound like a broken record when i say this but i think omark and maybe a 4th or 5th rounder should be enough. bryzgalov got traded for a 3rd and an ahl'er so i wouldnt see a guy whos never played in the nhl get more than that.

I would only give Omark to ANA for Schultz rights, conditional pick if he signs in EDM.

Only if EDM gets a good return, otherwise EDM would have a big hole in 2C, not good. NYR has Stepan and Richards as 1C and 2C. NYR also has Anismov and upcoming Miller. Stepan has passed the 50 point mark where Gagner hasn't, but I would prefer to keep Gagner. NYR needs a guy like Rick Nash. Trade Dubinsky, Erixon, Del Zotto, and 1st pick to CBJ for Nash. I honestly hope that is enough from NYR, CBJ may ask for someone else rather taking the 1st round pick and I can see Anisimov or Miller going as I've read Kreider is off-limits.

He was our best forward in the ECF and hasnt played a regular season game Also Nash is a bit over rated. No way we do that trade let alone in the off-season. We wouldnt have even done that when we were desperate at the deadline. And Anisimov can play wing. I like Gagner and would like it if the Rangers got him if the price wasn't steep (2nd round and mid level prospect?)

Good blog Richie, Coach Crowe has my vote, but I do think Sutter makes some sense. He has a ton of exp with juniors and that's more or less what our team is made up of at this point. You are wrong about him playing the vets though, he'll play the crap out of the young guys, he likes to roll 3 lines most of the time and he goes with whoever he thinks gives him the best chance at winning. Renny was bad for giving the old dogs too much ice. If we can land this Shultz kid that would be a huge boost to our playoff chances. Bob Mac is high on him and Button compared him to Doughty on twitter. That being said Button is a (frank)ing retard.

There's really not much point trading Gagner so a 2nd and mid level prospect really wouldn't cut it. Doesn't improve the team now or debatebly in the future.

He hasn't been in the league for long, and I think him leading the Devils (Back when Parise, and an ageing Brodeur were the only good players) to a 99 point and a 106 point season has to count for something. He also barely missed the playoff's with a bad Calgary squad that should have finished well out

Parise and Zajac flourished under him, some vets had trouble and did not get along great with him (part of the reason I think he ultimately decided to leave.) I think with the oilers young firepower he'd be a great coach.

I don't know about Crawford, it didnt seem like players liked him much during those CBC After Hours shows. He was awesome with Colorado, but never the same after the Bertuzzi incident.

I noticed Zajac put up very good numbers in Sutter's second season. I also noticed they put up 101 points with Brodeur playing less than 35 games that's even more impressive
