Phaneuf was a horse the first half of the season.
Then the team fell apart and he was made the scapegoat. Once the wheels started to fall off, he tried to do too much and got caught.
He'll be an allstar next year when Kessel and Parise start to work their magic. Also Nash will add a defensive presence to the second line. Plus...Luongo.

They do have the assets since Luongo's value isn't that high in the moment. His contract's lenght (cap his is ok) is just bad and they can't afford it in their present situation. |
