Sorry to burst your bubble. He would be a great add. But he's been in Phoenix so long, I just don't see him going anywhere else. I think he'd retire instead. - HonkFortheGoose
Doan has hinted as much. His kids love it there. |

while i am not a huge fan of driving 25 minutes to and from work every day. I will chose that every day of the week over living in the city and having to deal with all the stupid people and all the noise. I enjoying being able to walk out in my front yard and taking a #1 and being able to walk outside without the drooly little puke next door asking me what i am doing and trying to be my best friend. - SabresFaninIndiana
Concur I drive 40 minutes each way and it is well worth it. I can walk out my door in my skivies without the cops showing up. If I shoot a gun in my yard the neighbor calls and asks what I killed. |

All the cars are junk these days . some people get lucky. for the price they charge it should last till your kids drive . Not any more. Your kid wouldn't be able to afford to fix it.
Found one for ya .

When I was in Monte Carlo, I saw cars that size. I think they were Renaults. They looked like little toys. Gas was equivalent of $6 per gal. and that was 10 years ago. |

I drive a Mazda 3 hatch and I love it. The thing drives like a sports car and hasn't had a single issue yet at 104,000 miles. But I'm sure you aren't looking for a sporty little car....

I'm thinking about getting A Prius. Mine is a Pontiac Grand Prix 2004 but I really like it and have only 63K on it and hardly put any miles on it anymore. So I don't know if I will or not. I only have interest in the Prius. |

Have an 05 focus with 62k on it. 90% of the miles were put on from March of 05- April of 09 when I drove from Hamburg to Kenmore every day. Since then I work a mile from home so it doesn't get much use. |

does anybody like the combination of trading for Shane Doan before he hits the market and moving up (by any means necessary) to get Galchenyuk?
I was high on the parise and nash bandwagon but i've tempered expectations somewhat and think this combo is pretty sharp. - FIREonICE
Galchenyuk.... Hell yes!
But not at any price... I do think he will be a very good player,
But how much can we realistically expect him to produce?
Let's say he's an 80point guy
Roy is a 70 point guy
So how much more than Roy is that extra 10points worth?
I understand that everyone wants to get rid of Roy, and I'm ok with that...
But considering I'm also high on Ennis and Hodgson (I still can't believe Vancouver traded him)... It won't be the end of the world if we miss out on Galchenyuk
A big part of the reason I wanted him so bad was bc it looked like he was gonna fall to somewhere between 6-8...
But with all the talk of him going top3 now,
I just don't know if it's worth it to give up what it'll take to get him
As far as Doan goes,
I'd love it, but if he actually does leave Phoenix (which I doubt) then I see him going to somewhere like Detroit or Pittsburgh
Same with Parise... It's gonna be hard to talk him into coming here when teams that actually made the playoffs this year will also be courting him |

If Edmoton and Columbus trade picks, which it looks like they will Galchenyuk will be there at #4.
Yakupov to Columbus
Murray to Edmonton
Girgorenko to Montreal |

Personally if I was Montreal I would take Galchenyuk over Girgorenko. Then again girgorenko is learning to speak french... |

A lot of scouts do say grigorenko has the highest ceiling of the draft, the only problem are hes got some motivation issues. Hes an interesting prospect to say the least, I want to see where he ends up going. I've heard he may even slip out of the top 5. |

There's been A LOT of talk that Montreal will take him over Griegorenko
He may still fall... I thought he would for sure a month ago...
Now I'm not so sure
The islanders will prob take a defenseman at 4
I could see Toronto even passing on him at 5 (Forsberg)... especially if they make a trade for someone like Stastny or Getzlaf
But all the talk lately seems like teams arent scared at all about the knee and with his talent it really looks like it gonna be hard for us to go up & get him |

I would MUCH rather have Galchenyuk bc he seems to be more of a sure thing...
But it's been said by many that Griegorenko has the upside to become very Malkin-like... That's pretty freaking good
It's also said that him reaching that potential is more of a risk
Another thing that may influence Montreal (or whoever) to take Griegorenko is that he is NHL-ready NOW,
And while Galchenyuk has the talent & size to play in the NHL right away, coming off that knee injury, he'd probably be best served by playing another season of juniors before making the jump |

Problem with him is that he's listed as a center/right winger.
I read that as he's about as much of a center as Carter or Leino are. |

If they get a center like Getzlaf I think they might
Forsberg is ready NOW and will also be a very good player
I could also see Toronto trading that pick as part of the deal to get a center
And if it's for Stastny, then I'd see Colorado taking either Forsberg or a defenseman |

I'm leasing a Mazda 6 and I love it as well. Mazda might be the most underrated vehicle line in North America. |
