Fair points, I can come around to your way of thinking. Certainly won't be an 12th Cup awarded to a team in Flyers Division since they last won. That's not happening right? RIGHT? - PLindbergh31
the thought of fonzi, fedetenko, and captain shoulder pads or a 40 year old brodeur, elias, and sykora skating around another cup is just more than i can bear.

It seemed most people were embarrassed by him from what little I've seen of 24/7
not the best way to mentally help a goalie - nhindian
I assume you're talking about the Jagr clip, that was nothing more than just good fun.
Im just saying, if he thinks Kimmo doesn't like the guy. A guy who's been on this team for about as long as anybody besides Coburn is vet and is a respected guy on the team, im sure he's not the only one who doesn't like him. |

HAHAHA that's funny.
He was a sieve in the Finals. The D was outstanding in front of him until then. When he had to make a big save, he couldn't. The cup winning goal was horrid. Back to the AHL for him. - feelingkettle
Bryz was clearly the answer. I'm just saying, if the Flyers can find a buyer for him, they should dump him asap. |

Not trying to troll, but the Flyers will never go far with Bryzgalov. Just look at Phoenix. They get rid of Bryzy and are now in the WCF. At no point in these or any playoffs that Bryzy has ever played has he been the reason why his team won. - nyy

He was their best player in this series. I don't know if you watched the games, but the team in front of him was not good.
I remember Marty being horrid in a couple playoff rounds the past couple of seasons too. |

The two issues this team needs to address are pretty simple...learn to play 60 minutes every game and fix the turnover/team defense problems...good forechecking/defensive teams eat them for lunch...the rags would have beat the poop out of them |

It didn't work out this year, and the Flyers as a team just don't play good enough defense. If they start committing to defense, Bryz will start looking better to the outside world.
I'm not saying he was perfect the entire season (he wasn't) or great all playoffs, but he was clearly not the reason the Flyers are out of the playoffs. |

Which was the knock on him prior to leaving Phx. We have several years to see if that holds true. - 77rams
he's had very good numbers before coming here, and a good playoff in 7 games against detroit in '10, but apparently a poor one in '11. he was a solid gamble for a long term starter, and i understand why the flyers went after him. his first year was clearly a mixed bag, and aside from his stellar run in march, the perception of him - personality and performance - is largely negative. giving up that goal tonight is probably the worst thing that could have happened to him going into this offseason.
we can only hope he is a more consistent goalie next year, and improves his play in the playoffs. he was really good at times, and poor at others. hard to know how much his chip fracture affected him, and it's a shame that a (frank)ing shot in warm ups, of all things, was the cause and disrupted his hot streak.

this team is 1 or 2 pieces away from a great team that will make a solid run at the cup the only question that remains is 1 of those pieces a goalie Bryz looked great at times then very very poor at others... maybe he never recovered from that bone chip maybe he never got comfortable in the net i don't no but this team needs something and it needs it before we start losing players |

The question is will the Flyers play better defensively? Is that their style or system? |

Adjustments need to be made to the roster. That happens every off-season. - stveshdy
There are too many structural issues there which 1 year cannot banish. Improvement would be nice though.
Lets see what we have in Schenn and Couter and Simmer next year. Don't be surprised if one of the 3 disappoints. |

Well, they are "The MOST INTIMIDATING FANS IN THE WORLD!!"
I read that on a T-Shirt - perhaps they were too intimidating, or not intimidating enough?

Rough ending to a season I was proud of. With the make over starting in the off season, to losing Pronger, this team did well. Maybe not in this series, but still a team to be proud of.
Thank you boys. |

flip the goalies, Devs sweep with a couple blow outs. Bryz was very good this series and good overall this season. He isnt an issue going forward. |

Bryz will be ok if the team starts playing better team defense. All the good goalies are on teams that play good D. It isn't a coincidence (as I'm sure you already know) |

True.
If we had the Breeze before the foot injury, I'm not sure even he could have carried us past the Debs. |
