Do you even know what split second is? He had at least three seconds, and that's being light. - _Zippy_
Not at all. When the puck got to his stick, Clarkson was right on him.

Brutal. The Refs should be ashamed of themselves. This is one game where the Flyers are working hard and probably deserve a call or 2 but it's just not happening for them. |

it's a shame that Bryz is playing really well ... and everyone will only remain the brain cramp.

Really? You've never seen any Flyer, ever, embellish a call by laying on the ice a bit longer than necessary? - eayost
By nature of the Schenn reference, I was specifically referring to tonight's game. Thought you'd be able to figure that out...sorry for overestimating you. But come to think of it, no I can't remember an instance of this during these playoffs. |

Certainly hope so.
It looks like it's ok for the Devils to bump Bryz.
Wow, no penalty on Zubrus on Couts????
Who was that lying on the ice in our zone? - wolfhounds
Couturier, but that snapback was the worst acting I've seen in these playoffs. |

Isn't there someone in the Flyers system thats a skill player that they could've brought in over Rinaldo? - markmark
Right, cause big hits are over-rated. |

Nothing you can do. Have to keep playing. One period of hockey left in the season if they dont tie this up. |

Bryzgalov had the puck on his forehand for at least 3 seconds and only one Devil in the offensive zone. It wasn't a split second decision. That is a ton of time. It was not a split second decision Bryz had to make. Take a look at the replay. Sorry. Bryz doesn't get a mulligan anytime he has to play the puck and has time.
If he passes the puck as soon as he gains control of the puck the devils player isn't within 10 feet of him and there's no chance of the deflection. It required no great deal of stick handling. Bryzgalov turned a routine play into a goal. - Flyers_01
It absolutely was. I've seen the replay numerous times. Timonen turned a routine play into a goal. Sending the puck back to your Goalie with a forechecker right on him, is not a routine play.

Doesn't look like they are going to call another penalty on NJ for the rest of the game ... and yet some Phantom calls against the Flyers ... what exactly did Hartnell do there to get a high sticking call? His stick was at his waist and got knocked out of his hands. |

Yep, just like last game where they didn't call anything on NJ after the midpoint of the first period. |

Really? How about Schenn and Cooter in round 1? Multiple times for Cooter. |

i've been saying that all series, you breathe brodeurs air and you get an int call, i've see them run into bryz multiple times a game without a single call. and the play on coots is another missed called of many on the one side, meanwhile ticky tacky things being called on guys in orange and black |

Philly's best game of the series. If NJ doesn't put on their skating shoes, i think Philly ties and/or overtakes them in the third. You guys are like that buoyant turd that one experiences after eating an entire wicker basket. Flush and flush, that submarine will remain. |

It's baffling how you cannot blame Timonen for making a rookie mistake.

Edit: (To be a better match for what Giroux brought) - markmark
Rinaldo was clearly brought in to do what he is doing. One dumb penalty but all in all a good game so far.
Problem is, almost none of our vets seem to have legs or are injured. Its baffling really. |

Was there too many words over three letters for you to understand? It was a legit question.
Good thing Rinaldos big hit is winning this game and at the same time his really bright penalty should earn a goal or two. |

My fave comparison:
Flyers: zero goals on two OT PPs in Game 3.
Rangers: two goals on late 3rd/early OT PPs in Game 5. |
