The joke is every devil that stays down on the ice for 2 minutes, acts like they've been paralyzed, go to the bench, then return 30 seconds later just fine. I've counted at least 3 instances so far in this game alone.

Funny, I haven't seen any Flyers laying on the ice for 2 minutes after getting hit. Even Schenn got up & went to the bench after getting destroyed by Volchenkov early in the 1st.

You are shaken up, you stay down, instead of limping off to the bench or getting back into the play and potentially being a casualty, rather take the whistle and get a better player out there.

There's no guarantee you get the whistle, though. You risk not only looking like a wussy but also putting your team down a man if the ref doesn't blow it dead & play continues.
