Edmonton does not need forwards , go take a look at their roster. - VANTEL
Islanders need d-men... they have drafted tons of forwards the last few years. I don't see any way possible they trade Hamonic.
Nino, the 4th pick and another prospect.. maybe.. but zero shot Hamonic gets traded. This is all B.S. by the way.. The are staying put. |

Oilers will not give up the #1 pick unless a team overpays bigtime.
Im talking a 1st line D + first round pick or a starting tender + first round pick - The_Hinter
Not sure if I agree with this statement. Oilers are in a odd spot. They have drafted a ton of extremely talented forwards int he past few years. They LOVE Murray but the best player in this draft is clearly Yakupov. If they can pick up a few chips to move 1- 3 spots and still be relatively sure they will be able to grab Murray.. I think He makes the trade. That said.. it makes MUCH more sense for them to move 1 or 2 spots.. not 3. If they drop to 4th and Habs or Columbus take Murray ... woops. |

This site is all about over promising and under delivering. Ek don't post it if you aren't going to follow through. This is a habit you have that costs you what little credibility you may have left. |

Snow took a second rounder in 2008 to move back a spot, not necessarily true... |

True an a 2nd rounder for another team to move up 1 spot is almost like a kings ransom. In my opinion anyhow.... |

Well, if You were Edmonton...sitting on Yakupov, the obvious best talent in the draft, possibly the past few years, with a HUGE upside, and you had NYI and probably a few other teams knocking on your door...what do you think they would expect?
Obviously, it will need to be a hugely overpaid cost...otherwise it's not worth EDM to make the trade. In these situations, where EDM doesn't need to trade the pick, it's all about NYI (or some other team) making a huge offer...fairness is out the window in these situations. Don't like it? Fine, EDM is more than happy to keep Yakupov and move Hall to his natural C position. |

That's fine, they can keep Yakupov as well they should. There is no way the Islanders are giving up Hamonic and if they did the trade would be Hamonic and our first, that trade would be a HUGE over payment! Do you have any idea of just how good a player Hamonic is? Then you go onto say Brock Nelson plus a third rounder which is absurd. I seriously thought you were being sarcastic? You are right, it will be an over payment if it happens(which it won't) but not that ridiculously one sided. |
