Pierre get a grip, i thought he was about to make out with Brodeur.
- Yosimar89

Do you think Pierre is a closet chubby chaser?

Theres no support. Flyers are not supporting each other. There was no apparent plan for the pressure from the devils and I dont understand why.

DeBoer has that playoff pedigree, his resume speaks for itself, no chance for Laviolette to match X's and O's with a tactician like DeBoer.
- PLindbergh31

He really has stunk it up this series.

Watching the futile attempts at the home run pass made me giggle.

True rocko.

In no way are they done yet, even if it looks that way. That has to be remembered.

However I would think management to be stupid if they roll out the same lineup next season and hope for better.

The forwards as a group, as young as they may be are below average in terms of defensive zone coverages.

- flyer_nutter

This team and it's young forwards have shown that they can play solidly defensively. By it's very nature a team made up of young players is inconsistent at times. It is a process that doesn't happen overnight. That's why teams develop over time and Seasons into top teams. This team has the core nucleus to be a top future team.

It's not looking good. It seems as though the devils have their number. Getting outplayed in almost every aspect of the game.
- funmaster18

every aspect, except goaltending, which sounds weird since they're down 3-1. brodeur has literally had nothing to do for 3 straight games, and is giving up bad goals in all of them. bryz has been terrific. too many breakdowns in front of him. he's kept them in all 3 games. flyers blew this series in game 3 OT, with 0 shots on goal on 2 gift pp's.

I disagree completely. I think the D men as a whole, aren't getting a lot of help. And they are under seige from a forecheck that is overwhelming them. They don't have a lot of places to go with the puck. He has been no worse then any other player on the team. On a team that is being outplayed as a whole. But Carle is one of the "go to scapegoats"
- MJL

Kimmo is getting old. This is when we need Carle to step up. You've stated he's a core member of this team. Well he's sure not showing it much imo.

There has to be open ice with the Devils being so aggressive. It's up to the Flyers players to find it, and that isn't happening

The Devils are a juggernaut, when they were in double overtime in game 7 against those powerhouse Panthers, I thought they were a lock to win the Cup.
- PLindbergh31

That is due to not recognizing that the Panthers are a very good team. And as we saw in the Pens Series. Matchups have a lot to do with it.

I think Kimmo is playing with a bunch of injuries, and I'm pretty sure he was doing that for most of the season.

You only get one chance in this town. Ship them all out. These rookies were given a whole year to try an figure it out.

Seems the penguins series has taken the life out of them, whether it's mentally or physically. The devils also came prepared to out work the flyers and did their homework. Bryz has to be frustrated at being left on an island.

As a core. Yes I believe so. With Cooties, Schenn, Briere and Giroux.

However you do have to wonder about JVR. Next year is a huge year. He needs to bring it.

Just for a purely speculatory approach, I would be looking to replace JVR and Jagr with players that are more defensively responsible and have more grit.

Oh is that why Hartnell and JVR and Briere were so bad themselves in their own zone? The youthful infection has caught them? How come someone like Talbot escapes this infection?

The Panthers are a very good team that had the worst goal differential of any playoff team since the lockout. Just a fantastic team.

How can a Coach adjust strategically, when his team is being outworked and outplayed all over the ice? Losing puck battle after puck battle. Struggling to create offense. Scotty Bowman behind the Flyers bench right now wouldn't change the outcome tonight.
