They disrespected their Coach, their team, their crest, their city and their fans. Personally I don't think 1 game off sends them a serious message.
The Preds were a better team without them. If they do see the ice tonight, it should only be to remove catfish! - Desert_Dog

Preds had a great season without these 2.
They can win tonight again without them. |

Isn't that the truth. If we win then he made the right call if we don't he should have put them in. even though it really depends on a whole lot more factors then just that. |

I'm fine with that as long as Halischuk is good to go. If he can't go 100% then we need someone else who can (and will) instead. |

To all the Tootoo haters, and Legwand haters, etc. Admit it--they came to play Wednesday night and are doing exactly what the team needs them to do to give them a chance to win.
I agree with Crispy...playing time decisions should be made based on play on the ice. Punishment has been served, now make the best decision for the team based on on-ice play.
Personally I would prefer to see AK in the game for Hali if he's not 100%, or for Wilson, who I think played okay but wasn't really a factor like AK has been.
The biggest weakness we had in Game 2 was on the powerplay. Who woulda thunk Yip would see so much ice time? That PP line was absolutely ineffective.
I wouldn't mind seeing Rads play for Yip with a primary role of being on the PP and getting fewer minutes on 5:5 until he proves he's going to buy in to Trotz's system on Offense and Defense. I believe he is playing better D than he EVER played 4+ years ago, but he is inconsistent.
I respect whatever decision Coach makes--I'm more than fine playing the game without Rads or AK on the ice. Winning and losing tonight will not be based mostly on that decision...it will be determined on the ice by the players (and a few catfish).
Hoping for another Dunkin Donut so we don't have to argue about playing better scorers! |

Tough decision for sure for Trotz. I'm of the mind that says "what ain't broke, don't fix." The lineup you had for game 3 worked, and worked well. Why mess with it. Keeping them out of the lineup now isn't about their punishment anymore. Now it's about what works on the ice. Now the two party clowns are learning some real consequences for their actions. They gave their coach a reason to take them out. And now the rest of the team gave him a reason to leave them out. This team won before without them, and they can do it again. |

Paul McCann: Game Four Game Night in Smashville! - pmccann
I'm not as charitable towards Phoenix. People with even cursory awareness of hockey would know that they just knocked off a team two years removed from winning the cup. If that doesn't make the city stand up and take notice, I don't know what will. For franchises like PHO, the playoffs are their once chance to have a season in the black. That's when they need the support the most. I hope they can get it together. |

Some of us already have a reverse Klein hawk...didn't even have to go to the barber to get it cut that way...it just kind of appeared as we got older...

If we were good enough to win the cup with the team on the ice then there would be no reason for Poile to Get AK, or Rads - but that's foggy at best. The more I think about it the more I believe this is a bad decision - and as a STH I believe I can have that opinion. If we lose this series, the blame for this decision should fall squarely on Trotzy, and thus repercussions should follow (not that there ever will be). I whole heartily agree that motivation can help win games. Tootoo was motivated after sitting in the press box. His 8 minutes certainly helped the team - not on the scoreboard, not by adding pressure on Smith to make saves, but in other areas in those 13 shifts of 78 seconds. I wonder if you say motivation caused him to play his best game of the playoffs - then couldn't that same argument be used to theorize that 2 players with SIGNIFICANT more upside be motivated to restore their character/reputation/etc? Moreover - if Halischuk is not 100%, why would you dress him over AK/Rads?
Regardless of if we win tonight or not - this decision will be hanging over Trotzy for some time. I hope we win tonight, and more importantly the series. Lets hope Barry is right and this is a story we talk about this time next year. Go Preds.

So if we win, do AK and Rads ever see the ice again in this series? If we lose, we're in a 3-1 hole, and they're back in. Scary. |

AK46 and Rads were brought in to help us match up against Vancouver and Detroit. Higher skilled teams that we needed more offensive punch to compete against. Nothing against Phoenix, but they are not Vancouver or Detroit. Playoffs are about match ups and the Preds match up better against Phoenix without AK46 and Rads. If we make it to the next round, I'm sure Trotz will have to put them back in the line up. |

Hard to disagree with the #Preds decision on Radulov/Kostitsyn. Even if the Rus media is losing its marbles over the perceived "politics"

That's the way it is over there; everything's "political". I guess they don't understand all of the world is not as crooked as they are. (not saying there aren't crooked people and politics in America, just that it's not in all facets of life here like it is there) |
