Sorry Paul but I had to call you out on this one. Quarter Finals? Is the smell of fresh catfish getting to you? |

You have to play them. It's like playing a backup. He might win your 1, 2, or even 3 games, but odds are, you'll probably lose the next 3 without your main gun. |

Except that their replacements weren't exactly backups. They were starters during the team's best stretch this season.
I'm conflicted. Part of me says to keep them out, and put them back in for game 5 if we win. The other part of me thinks they need to play because we need more offense against Smith.
Sigh! What to doooooo!

Game 3 was probably the best game this team has played in the playoffs. How do you look at any of the guys that played that game and tell them they don't deserve to play this one? If Halischuk is not 100%, then put Rads in his place. Otherwise, don't change anything until you have a reason to. |

I'm just glad I don't have to make the decision. The only decision I'll be making is leaving the house around 4pm to head down that way. |

I agree. Although i thought TOOTS was his usual turnover machine in the o-zone, he did go to the body well and worked very hard. I would sit 24 as i dont think he has been 100% since the Wings series.
Here we go!!!!!
10-12-74
27-11-57
33-13-47
22-28-18
6-20
75-59
51-8

Just a feeling but I think Rads in for Hali tonight. No letting up - the guys have to play just as well tonight as they did last game to even the series up. |

I guess we all put back on our rose-colored glasses after those 10 minutes on WED.
AK & Rads are motivated. They go in tonight.
You want Tootoo then sit Yip (they are the same player - except Yip has outplayed Tootoo), but to sit a more skilled offensive player for a 8-10 minute guy seems crazy at this time of year. |

Overall, no matter how you slice it, you're a better team with Radulov and Kostitsyn in the lineup (assuming they're not hungover) than with Halischuk and Tootoo in the lineup in their stead. |

They SHOULD be motivated. But these guys have already shown once that they don't give a flip. |

Radulov and Kostitsyn weren't the first professional athletes to go out partying the night before a playoff or championship, and I guarantee you they won't be the last. |

tons of players have done it....the difference being, that guys like Gretzky, Fuhr, Leach, Clarke etc. still showed up and gave 100%.
The Rad-tit combo showed no heart whatsoever-they should stay in the pressbox regardless of the violation. |

it's a team game, something that the rad-tit combo don't seem to want to buy in.
tootoo brought more to the dance. |

This is why BT makes the big bucks. My hope is he plays both (if they are not motivated after this, then they have to be brain dead.....don't answer that ) and sit Yip or 22. Though I have to admit, 22 deserves to be in the lineup after playing so well in game 3. Glad I don't have to make the call.

Sit them both roll with game 3 lines |

They disrespected their Coach, their team, their crest, their city and their fans. Personally I don't think 1 game off sends them a serious message.
The Preds were a better team without them. If they do see the ice tonight, it should only be to remove catfish! |

I'd keep Tootoo in the lineup and bring Radulov back. |

Least we forget they were not the sole reason we lost game 2. If anything because of AK we had a chance. The team found out, the coaching staff AND the PLAYERS decided on 1 game. If its good enough for the team its good enough for the city( a city that doesnt even want the team - sports authority) and the fans. Now its time for the coaching staff AND the PLAYERS to decide on what to do (or at least have input). Whatever THEY decide gives them the best opportunity to win is what they will put on the ice. I know this town is in LOVE with Tootoo, but 0-0-0 with 8 minutes your answer? And for the fans.....amazing what a goal will do for respect. |

Once again, Tootoo's contributions went further than the scoresheet. He was responsible for drawing two penalties on Phoenix. If he can continue to agitate and frustrate Morris the same way then he's valuable on the ice whether he scores or not.
I don't think it matters if you put those two back or not. I think they'll have a lot more fire in their belly if you do, but the others have been part of the heart and soul of this team from the start. About the only guy I wouldn't play right now is Halischuk, and only because I don't think he's 100%. |
