And really what coach wants the Habs of next year on his resume?? Terrible offensively, porous D and a borderline average goaltender.
Hello first overall. - tennisball
good point, whoever is coach next year will be a 1 year scapegoat anyways, so maybe Randy is still an option. |

Ron Wilson is the man for the job. He's got plenty of experience with average goaltending, porous D and a 1 line offence. - Pecafan Fan
Well played Marty...............well played indeed. |

He won't be leaving Vancouver. If he hasn't been canned it's not going to happen. |

Bergevin will take a look at the list of candidates and promptly resign. |

Not sure if you're serious, but I liked Carbonneau. - Pecafan Fan
They should have let Cunneyworth keep coaching, until a proper coach like AV or Quenneville becomes available. |

Not a terrible idea, especially considering that the teams sucks anyway. |

The problem is that I highly doubt Bergevin's "guy" is available right now. That means you either hire a lame duck coach, or risk missing out on your guy when he becomes available. If the new coach comes out and inspires the team to a great start, how do you fire him if say someone like AV has a poor start next season. |

Nashville Pradators forwards Alexander Radulov and Andrei Kostitsyn will miss their second straight game tonight when the Predators host the Phoenix Coyotes in Game 4 of their Western Conference semifinal series.

Then again, there are some very capable assistant coaches around the league, he owes it to himself to explore every avenue, not just wait for a big name to get fired. |

I get it, but that capable assistant must be bilingual. That certainly shortens the list. The best candidate right now without looking at language would probably be MacT. You guys would love him too cuz he's a great quote. |

I hear you, but I can't see them hiring a (frank)ing plug of a coach just because he speaks french... |
