It would be nice for a man to have some say in that for himself. isn't that what prompted the big fight for free agency in the first place?

either way I guess he knew what he was getting into and it's not exactly like he's stuck in prison but still it seems contrary to every single thing the PA has always looked for.

They wanted the money... let see how the PA would respond if a player says he is willing to tear up his contract. They have no problem sacrificing a players career so all the others can get rich.

I think the PA takes greater concern in the UFA contract he signed than where he ended up playing during it.

yeah I think you're probably right.

Yeah but to the PA Redden is still getting paid, for the 2-3 guys that might be stuck in the minors because of the CBA, so many are making money they don't really derserve and teams can't do anything about it.

yeah I guess you can't account for every case... If Gomez gets buried it's for a couple of years and then it's up to him I guess it was just that improbable that Redden's game would drop off so much so fast and so early in that long deal...

Did you hear Mario Langlois on the huge list of contacts he has throughout the league? Stéphane Waite said so too on RDS. Pretty sure that surpasses Mcguire's
- QuebecPride

What surpasses Mcguire is that I'm pretty sure Bergevin is well liked across the NHL, when with Mcguire people would have probably said to themselves "(frank), not him again"
