I heard Bergevin say that he doesn't intend on trading the 3rd overall, unless something really interesting comes up...but surely not for a player that would play 2 or 3 years here and leave.

A.K.A. No roof fixing.

He knows he's here for a while. I also liked when he said he isn't scared of starting the guy we pick in the big league right away if he feels he's ready.

He won't rush him to save his job, he knows his job his safe.

The shot to the chest is a red flag right away isn't it? Where's borderpatrolsuperstar when you need him?

So, he was playing in the Q and flew under the habs scouting radar, but was wanted by Timmons, and someone talked Timmons out of it.

No, it was one of his most influent scout, who would jizz all over the place for Fischer, he even wrote a book about him.

Timmins wanted Giroux. He's based in Ottawa and saw Gatineau play a lot that year. He trusted his scout. And it burned him.

Sorry you actually believe that, who was the boss and had the final say again?

Timmins, all in all it's HIS fault. But he wanted Giroux.

He's the one calling the shot now.

They had Timmins scouting the 'Q back then, with another part-time scout scouting every now and then. The rest of the scouts wouldn't come here.

They hired Serge Boisvert two years ago. And they will hire more

And maintained their jobs again how? Jesus, you are gullible.

They do but they will increase their scouting of the Q. They gave Giroux as an example.
- Symba007

So not having enough scouts in the Q and mentioning a player you knew about, and Timmonds was talked out of. That makes Giroux a bad example, no?

QP is shedding new light on the way the Habs scouting is being run. Good on him.
