The Flyers have no one to blame but themselves
- LJF

Never said they didn't, but I thought the sloppy play started soon after that penalty.

My God people its one game. The Devils may have played their best game of the playoffs tonight, and the Flyers probably played their worst.

Its one game to one. Still a long way to go.

It is one game. You just expect to see alittle more effort out there tonight. I'm still confident in this team. They have to get it done on the road now which I think they play much better.

Hopefully that serves as a wake up call for the Flyers ... Bryz could only keep them in the game so long ... they tried to win the game 1 - 0 ... not gonna cut it this time of year!

It's just the lack of effort that the team showed.

There isn't a single player on the Devils that is a stiff. They are a good team, that just outworked and out played the Flyers.
- MJL

What 2nd and 3rd periods did you watch out worked implies there was work by both parties.

funny, but that's what the Devils fans were saying on their board after they lost game 1.

But, you're right. As much as this sucks ... and it sucks A LOT ... it still is only ONE loss.

Yeah I didn't like the effort either, but there were two teams on the ice tonight. The Devils played great. The Flyers played terrible.

This "average team" put up 102 points in the best division in hockey.

If they lost 3-2 in a competitive game you live with it, the lack of effort, and compete level, after the 10-3 game that happened a week ago is alarming to me. Did they let down because Kovalchuk wasn't playing? Are they buying into the hype? Have they tuned the coach out?

I'm really awaiting answers from the post-game to find out why not one player on the ice competed tonight, other than the goaltender.

It was really a self explanatory statement. Do you disagree that the Flyers were outworked and outplayed?

They don't have the D and G to spend as much time in their own end as they did.

It was only a matter of time.

Point taken, but a lot of what we saw today was due to us, not them. Also, nice job by Briere just watching Zajac skate in for the wraparound. And there is where you see Gusty's lack of physical play. He should not have allowed that to happen.

The Debs beat you by outworking you. If the Flyers match and work as hard, it's no contest.

They know what they need to do. Now let's see if they're up to it Thursday.

I dont want anymore star players missing games for the opposing team. The Flyers went into the locker room after the first period and never came out again.

Bill made a good point on Twitter that the 2nd period probably really wore out the D, since the team wasn't in the offensive zone at all in the period. I don't think many teams could withstand lack of working like that

This was the best I have seen the Devils play in all of the playoffs, so I think much of this was due to them. Now its a series, and the Flyers have to match the effort.
