I really don't get the animosity against Richards and Carter. It's mind boggling to me. I wish them well, and hope they do well. I would love to see a Flyers/Kings final.

Richards quit on us in my opinion. He got comfortable. Carter, loves his low percentage shots from impossible angles. We weren't going to win with them here. I would not want to see La/Flyers final.

I wish those guys well, just not as well as our home team guys.

Absolutely, the loyalty is with the Orange and Black. But if the Flyers can't win it, or aren't there. And the Kings are. I'll be rooting for the Kings. And I would be ecstatic if the Kings win it, and happy for Richards and Carter. Too very deserving players.

But on to what really matters most. Beating the Devils.

If the Flyers make it to the SCF's and play LA would be incredibly nerve wracking. I can't take Richards and Carter winning the cup before the flyers win a few.
If they do meet it might take drastic action like inviting a dozen or so coeds hopped up on red bull to partay with frick and frack the night before games.

wouldn't hurt, but I think they're gonna party regardless.

That would be an awesome series, but quick is playing extremely well right now. Richards looks like he's his usual playoff self as well. The kings are a physical team. I'm so glad to be able and watch all the games, it's been great hockey.
- funmaster18

Oh my, could you imagine the trolls on these boards if LA vs Flyers were to go down?

And the troll count would explode if the Kings were able to win the cup against the Flyers.

Ughhhh, what an awful thought.

Hopefully the Flyers were all watching the Rangers game last night. Losing game 2 would needlessly give the Devils some life in this series, just like the Caps now have.

Let's come out hard and fast, and keep the pressure on a NJ team that has played a LOT of hockey over the past week.

Let's go Flyers!

Richards quitting is BS. Do you want to discuss your theory of Carter's low percentage shots from impossible angles? We can do that. And I'll show you the numbers that Carter is no different from any of the other top shot producers in the League. Why wouldn't you want to see the Flyers in the finals against anybody? If Richards is a quitter and Carter will take bad shots, what's the problem? I love how stuff has been just made up about the players.

I would like to see Bryz with a rock solid game. That means no five hole goals.
Let's get the puck rolling!

It's a real possibility though. Both teams have a good shot at making it. Phx and LA are owning their series. Who would have thought that the coyotes and kings would potentially face each other in the WCF?

Isn't this Kovalchuk first time in the second round of the playoffs? He sure is playing like he has no playoff experience in the second round...

You didn't see a difference in Richards between his last year here and the year we went to the finals? I do agree with your point about the flyers being in the finals against anyone. Carter, I'm just nit picking, he bugged me for some reason, can't really explain. Maybe I'm jealous they are successful and would be very jealous if they won?

If Kovalchuk wasn't hurt, we'd be seeing a different player.

Richards and Carter are not wearing the O&B, it's plain and simple.

Do I dislike them? No, but I don't have to root for them and don't. I am a fan of team first, player second. I enjoyed the video montage for players such as Gagne and Richards but once the puck is dropped, they play for the other team.

If the Flyers don't win the cup, I have no fan interest to who wins the cup. I may watch but that's because I enjoy the sport not because of who is on the team.

The Coyotes have it going on rite now.

They are fun to watch. They are attacking the puck and the Preds look like the are playing hot potato with it.

I will be the first to say, coming into this Preds series, I gave the Coyotes no shot.

The Coyotes deserve to be 2 games up on the Preds.

Any difference wasn't due to Richards quitting. He was a great player here, and so was Carter. I love this team and the moves made. But I'd take either player back in heartbeat. Not in love with their contracts. But both players are quality players.

Neither would I. This team has a bright future. But the difference for me is that I don't subscribe to the mantra that if you love the trades and the players they obtained, then you can't like Richards and Carter. Or that you have to criticize them to like the trade. Sometimes I wonder if they're quitters and partiers, and all these bad things, how did the Flyers get such good value for them?

Two games doesnt make a series. The Blues and Preds will go down fighting. Those series are far from over imo.

With the Blues losing their #1 d-man, they are pretty much cooked.

The question is can the Blues atleast make it a series?

The Coyotes have done their job, held home ice advantage. Game 3 is everything for the Preds. They can't afford to lose it.

No doubt, but they put themselves in a hole. A hole I'm hoping the Flyers put the Devils in tonight.

I don't think the Blues have a prayer.

Just my opinion, but they look overwhelmed last night.
