WOW!

Makes you wonder how much the Preds management regrets bringing Radulov back.

Didn't they know about this guys character flaws from his prior stints with the club?!?!

AK47, no suprise, he wasn't a model citizen in Montreal either.

I said all along, radulov won't be back to the preds. Thought it was a bad decision.

The problem is, Radulov isn't even skating hard. He's out doing figure 8's.
- Jsaquella

I don't know Radulov's track record in the KHL though. Obviously I saw Jonesy rip him a new one as he deserved, but I was unaware that he was such a lazy back-checker, then again it shouldn't surprise me as he's a Russian winger.

I'm curious to know....why can't someone's opinion be made to state this?

There has been reports about how the locker room was divided to some extent from very good sources. Sour Apples, consistent players, good players, bad leaders...every player needs to right enviroment to succeed.

How can it be a reasonable statement to say that the Kings would still be in the same place without two of their top players? On what basis is that made?

And it seems to be that you have some confusion. It's about the Carter and Richards on the Kings, not the Flyers.

Right now he's not buying into the Preds system, and neither is AK46, which is making both deals look suspect right now.

This is a more level headed version of what I'm trying to say, I think even I still have some bitterness in me for the disappointment of that era ending the way it did and its spilling into my posts. MJL is right in that they are good players and to carry on the witch hunt is wrong.
- JoeRussomanno

Yes, any player that makes to the NHL has to have some sort of talent and skill. Carter and Richards are very skilled players. It didn't work out here. We can state reasons, facts or opinions all day long. Some have been reported and some will never be reported. It's the way the Flyer operate but to simply have people tell other people that there reasoning is wrong, overstated, not true and unfactual is crazy to say the least. Everyone has the right to voice themselves and I actually enjoy reading everyone opinion...it provides me a base to when I talk to other people.

They didn;t have to trade both guys to do that though.
- JoeRussomanno

You had to trade Richards to make it Girouxs team and I think they just wanted to trade carter, IMO. Colby's wanted to make some noise and the flyers liked the deal and took it. I don't think there was a house cleaning agenda as much as opportunities presented themselves and the flyers decided to take it in another direction.

I think looking at the length of contracts and the money tied up, Holmgren saw getting Giroux more ice time as an opportunity to also get the team younger.

I can agree with this. At the end of the day, I think the Richards deal was a hockey move with the goal of making the club younger. Carter had to go for cap purposes to sign Bryz.

He was playing fine for most of the first series. Is it possible he could be tired? He hasn't played this much hockey at this level since he left the NHL. I would like to think that instead of him being another lazy Russian.

Jones ripping Radulov was almost as funny as Pat Foley ripping Alexander Karpovtsev

the point i'm trying to make is that i don't care if it's not reasonable, i appreciate the person's opinion.
the basis of people coming on here is to share their own opinions.
the topic is about Carter and Richards...when the focus should be on game two between the Flyers and the Devils.
But we work in a all world, all topic message board.

They did to fix the Salary Cap issues, and the lack of prospects in the Organization.

Next up on the Russian list is Alex Burmistrov. Is he going to the KHL? More to come...

He also can't sign with the KHL unless the Jets agree to loan him there. He's under a contract, and the NHL and KHL are bound to honor one another's contracts

And if Giroux isn't in the mix, I don't think we see both guys exit. Not both at the same time right after the season like they were, anyway.

I think Homer is a good judge of character. Once the deals were signed he might've had second thoughts as the last couple of years played out. I don't know...it's my opinion.
I wish them both the best but I do not follow them and will not follow them. they do not where the orange and black anymore.

I have enjoyed watching a nice mix of youth and veterans this year. this is the first year in a very long time that the Flyers actually played rookies on a consistent basis...It's fun to watch.

They cleared cap room, they opened up more chances for an increasingly talented Claude Giroux, and they stocked this team with great young talent (something they were criticized, and rightfully so, for lacking). It was a gamble, trading two of our move valuable players, but that's the kind of guts that make Holmgren a great GM.

Yeah, they both slept through the last game.
