I wouldn't take Luongo for free.
Great regular season goalie with a monster of a contract (length, mostly) that will more than likely burn whoever ends up with him.
It'd help the Leafs a ton short term no doubt. Instant playoff team in my opinion. Long term no thanks though. |

Luongo would be a hero at first, because he's an improvement over who they have now, but in the long run, it doesn't make sense. At 33, with his contract and his inability to handle pressure, he would get eaten alive in Toronto. A hero honeymoon followed by a villainous divorce. Just like Vancouver but worse. |
