ton of pressure on the rangers, especially at home. they don't want to follow in the canucks' footsteps. - hammarby31
There is pressure on both teams. Someones season is going to end. |

true. i think there's more on the rangers with the season they've had, and the fact that most didn't predict ottawa to make the playoffs. the sens are 0-4 in franchise history in game 7s. rangers lost their last game 7 to the caps. something's gotta' give.

so, it's either florida, nj, washington or ottawa. now that the options are reduced, who do you want?
the flyers have home ice "advantage" on all but florida, which would be their opponent if the rangers and panthers both win tomorrow. |

I wanted to play Boston. I thought all these rounds with intense motivation would have been good for the team. Pitt itself is a lot of motivation. Boston sweeping us last year, I really felt comfortable beating them. Finally, the Rangers. I felt without beating them this year, we could have used that to our advantage. I just remember a lot of so called "experts" griping in 2010 that we got to the cup because we didn't play anybody(Washington or Pitt). Don't want that to happen this year. |

i hear you, but in the end, it shouldn't matter. you play who you play, and the fact is if they don't get to face ny now, they like the bruins will have been dispatched by whomever the flyers will face. that says something.
do you think anybody in detroit gives a rats ass they played carolina in 2002 with their all-star team to win their 3rd cup? nope. |

True, true. I just wanted them to run the table of the "best teams" for my own sense of pride. I'll take a cup over whoever! |

honestly, over the years a LOT of teams took an easy road to the cup. And as far as I'm concerned, the Flyers had THE toughest 1st round matchup of any team, so they're allowed a weaker 2nd or 3rd round opponent.

Indeed. I just want to keep them focused. if they had played say Florida in the first, I don't think we would have been that dominate. |

I don't give a poop what the experts say if Giroux and Co. get to hoist the cup. Four rounds of 4+ games of playoff hockey is pretty intense in and of itself. |

i'm amazed at what's gone down. and i think the flyers have a stellar chance to advance to the final and win the whole (frank)in' thing. |
