honestly I have no idea how tim peel still has a job an NHL referee....he has a bad history with Ottawa...and beyond that he was just on another level tonight going both ways....hopefully in game 7 the refs aren't this horrendous..

I agree it went both ways with blown calls and tick tacky calls

Did Richards come back after he was hurt? I decided you'd won and wasn't paying close attention at that point.

Yeah he returned next shift

Have a good night all, heck of a win. Watched the Del Zotto a few times, I have to say that it came late after Neil had moved the puck and definitely was high. I hope that he doesn't get suspended, but wouldn't be surprised if Shanny had something to say about it. MDZ had a bit steam behind him, but nowhere near as much as Neil had when hit Prust and not as clear cut to the head, but Neil did not see him and that could be a factor in how Shanny rules. I hope nothing comes of it, but you never know. That said, Neil should definitely get some sort of fine and warning for all but admitting he will find a way to pay back MDZ, legally or not

That kicked in goal has me really confused. They went to Toronto. What play was Toronto looking at? Spezza clearly kicked the puck in...

I don't think anything should come of that...the hit was a touch late but even though Neil never saw him i still don't think it was a bad hit....hockey is a fast game and every now and then you just get smoked...wasn't malicious or anything like that....was very similar to Neil's hit on Boyle...I doubt any sens fans will have any issues with it.

off to game 7!!! all I can hope for is better officiating and should be a great game!

spezza took the initial shot, and was standing near the faceoff circle when it went in. if you think he kicked it in, i want to know what video you were looking at

I think it was one of those plays where if it had been waived off on the ice, it would have been no goal. there wasn't an angle that DEFINITIVELY showed his skate touch puck. either way, didn't make a difference, so who cares.

It looked to me like the Sen clearly TRIED to kick it in. But I'm not sure he ever made contact. And the goal was awarded on the ice, the replay had to be clear. (And the interference part isn't reviewable.)

well there's no way spezza kicked that in...since he shot the puck and was nowhere near the net...

I think they couldn't conclusively tell if Neil actually kicked it...as it looked like he
missed it...he totally tried to kick it though...if it wasn't a goal
called on the Ice it probably would have been called no goal....I like hanks passion but him claiming conspiracy is silly...as much some rangers fan will disagree the sens get basically zero love from the NHL and almost never have anything go there way

i dont' think anything will come of it. even neil will realize it was a good hit, once he has time to settle down, and actually views the replay.

We have seen so far that was looks reasonable, isn't, so who the heck knows what Shanahan was say. I am sure it will be reviewed and hope for the Rangers sake, nothing happens, but given all the comments on Neil's hit, since the one happened to him, who knows

fair enough. i'm sure they will look at it, just like they looked at neil's hit. but, just like neil's hit, i would be SHOCKED if anything came of it.

IMO both hits were good examples of guys getting caught with their heads down, nothing wrong with either one.

Nope Not often you see him lose it like that. I really can't think of another time tbh. And he was yelling at the refs after the game

Callahan wound up hurting his middle finger. Was with the trainer and didn't talk. He finished the game and was pretty effective but a source of concern as we head to Thursday

As an independent fan--ok, not so independent, I was rooting for the Sens, of course--I have to say, it's a BS goal. Neil clearly kicks at the puck and the speed of the puck quickens once Neil kicked at it. All before the puck crosses the line. It didn't ultimately matter, but I'm still a little flabbergasted at how they could look at the same replay in Toronto and not determine the speed of the puck changed.

From the right angle (behind and to the right I believe), you can see his skate blade go past the puck, and the puck is still behind it - basic laws of physics dictate that if he was kicking it in, it would have had to at least stay with his skate for a small amount of time. What sped the puck up was Hank's glove, which Neil probably also kicked.

Heart attack city last night. It is never easy with the Rangers but I can't be ungrateful either.

Huge win and huge efforts from previously slumping players like Stepan and Del Zotto.

I like Hank's intensity, it sets the team up well for Thursday because they are going to need him to be great yet again.

Chris Kreider is here, ladies and gentlemen.

Can't watch Neil getting lit up by DZ enough, finally that puke gets some of his own medicine then whines about it on the bench, calls it a head shot and threatens DZ. That puck is there, PPOC is the chest and he didn't leave his feet, plus that faker stayed in the game, that was how the haters described his hit on Boyle, I wanna see the reverse crying now.

He needs PP time, why Mitchell is out there is just plain stupid, Kreider only played 10 minutes and he was noticeable in every one of those minutes, that line was sensational, the OLYMPIC line!

Michalek is looking at a potential suspension for kicking at Girardi during, what should have been, Neil's disallowed kicked in goal.

He'll probably just get a fine because Girardi wasn't hurt. That piece of garbage Shanahan will find a way to not suspend him, guarantee
