Its never easy thats for sure. You had to think the Pens were going to win a game eventually. They have too much talent to lose four straight games. |

Yeah, it's going to be so difficult for them to win 1 game compared to the Pens having to win 3. |

I know what you mean because I always take a playoff loss like a shot to the gut, but it's a marathon not a sprint and the team is up 3-1.. I just wanna win tomorrow and move on. |

If I knew bryz was playing like poop and grossman was out. I wouldn't have picked the flyers to win a game in the series. Looking at it right now that's what we have |

Meanwhile, Fleury is playing like Swiss cheese and the Flyers' O has been cutting through their D like a hot knife through butter. |

I love watching ballgames in April where the crowds are so sparse you can focus on one drunk's ranting all game. |

Bill Meltzer: Meltzer's Musings: Takeaways from Game 4 - bmeltzer
I think it's pretty clear that Jody Shelley should have dressed going into Game 4 but Laviolette shows confidence in his young players and this time Rinaldo disappointed. I think Rinaldo has ever right to be frustrated though, he's damned if he does and he's damned if he doesn't.
In my opinion the league's need to "take control" of this series is an issue. At the moment they're calling every little thing. In the 3rd period Rinaldo did deserve to get thrown out but he also took a minor penalty that was undeserved. So what's this kid to do? Should he just quit the NHL? This reputation that Rinaldo has isn't even from the NHL, it's just 2 league levels below it.
Make no mistake, Bryz was bad, Bob was bad, the team was bad and the officials didn't have a very good first period. I give full credit to the Pens for taking advantage of every opportunity. Make no mistake, if there is a team that can come from behind and beat us (As we did over the Bruins in 2010), it's the Pittsburgh Penguins. Last night I feel we had a huge opportunity to end to Pens' season and we really went down in Flames.
In Tomorrow Night's Game, I think I'd like to see the whistles put away a bit and allow these players to grow up a little on their own. Make the calls that are deserved and allow each team to grab hold of their own destiny.
I'm not saying my view is the right one. This is just how I feel. |

Chris Lee was one of the refs. That's what you get. Flyers played themselves into his no-nonsense hands and paid for it.

I think Bryz getting pulled and Bob playing terrible was a blessing in disguise. Now we know not to go back to him because there is no way Bryz could have been any worse then that. We're going to have to play with the crew who's expected to go and allow the chips to fall where they may. Well, with the exception of Rinaldo. I felt and a handful of others felt he shouldn't have played yesterday. Anything that happened to Rinaldo was to be expected. |
