Rinaldo did last night precisely what the Penguins did at the end of game 3. There is no place in hockey for that type of garbage. - PLindbergh31
They also did it in game 4. The only difference was Rinaldo looked him in the eyes before he deked him! Plus dont tell me that shove cause the other guys to go down like a ton of bricks. A little acting is implied in those situations.
It's not over by any means. I expect the Flyers to figure out a way to win the series, but it's going to be difficult. As everyone thought it would be before the series. The 3-0 lead swelled everyone's head, including the players. - PLindbergh31
you said it -- flyers really thought it was over after game 3, that all they had to do was show up and they'd win. the penguins aren't just going to lay down and let us win, we have to earn it.
Just as Bill mentioned UBI, but Eskin said it was a concussion. He has sources who ever they may be. - PLindbergh31
We were all standing around the same area of the locker room. Holmgren said day-to-day upper-body via a text message that Zack Hill shared with the beat writers. Another member of Flyers personnel said off-the-record (to no one's surprise, as everyone suspected as much) they think it's a concussion. I assume Eskin asked a member of management for confirmation shortly thereafter, because he gets a lot of his info from the top.
agreed. unreal. Neal should've gotten 2 and malkin should get 1, but he won't get anything. - flyersfan51
If i were rinaldo i would have ran crosby and made my two - four game suspension (A JOKE) worth it...Some in here are worried about being called goons and such by the national media but fail to realize that weve been GOONED ON in the last 4 games!
Here's a little humor for those Flyer fans who are feeling down this morning. I saw this on the Rangers thread just after the Sens won it in OT:
I fuking hate this team, fuking chokers, series is done, nice fuking talent we have! - HankdaTank
Their series is 2 - 2. Maybe we need to relax a bit on our series.
Sure it was ugly but it's only one game and this team is resilient.
They'll assess the issues from last night and make some adjustments and come out ready to play on Friday.
I'm still confident in this team.

Nice...your right we do need to relax. Im just tired of pitts predatory behavior. I think they go hard after giroux the next game...
I cannot lay blame on the defense in this game really except for that bonehead play by Carle when he had the puck behind the net on a shorthanded play that should have went out and he didnt. The forwards literally stopped skating and put no pressure on the penguins and allowed them to attack at full speed through the neutral zone, what is the defense supposed to do with those forwards coming at breakneck speed with noone in the way, that is what we did very well in the first three games and need to do moving forward, apply pressure and clog up the neutral zone so the defense have a chance. Bryzgalov was absolutely horrible last night, you cant blame the team for a defensive breakdown on the first goal that malkin scored as it was a routine shot that should never have been available for the rebound to Malkin. The other thing that bothered me about him last night is when he got pulled he looked absolutely disinterested and not engaged at all. I would have hoped that he was paying attention and looking pissed off like he was going to come back with a vengeance.
Hopefully Friday is a better game all around - Daceroni
Granted the first goal was a bad rebound, but the defensive coverage was brutal. Team defense was atrocious. And it was up and down the roster. They saw they were up 3-0 and saw the Pens as dead in the water, and played accordingly.
They need to realize that they can't just show up and win, even if the other team is down in the series 3-0. Last night should be a valuable lesson for a young team.

I don't think anybody's "failed" to realize this. There was no shortage of criticism against the Penguins for playing like that. Here's the thing: in those four games the Penguins have "gooned it up", how many fell in their favor? Maybe it's just me, but the 3-1 deficit suggests it's a losing strategy, especially when that one win was in a game where the Flyers lost sight and had a player ejected for conduct.
Focus on winning, that's what I want. I don't care about some injury based lust for revenge.

your avatar fits your rants. I can hear cartman saying these exact same words.
Why have Zac Rinaldo in the line up at all? Harry Z should of been in the line up since game 1 - moonwasaloon
You do realize Harry Z was like -15ish this season right? So I think it is a little bit of a stretch to say he deserved to be in the lineup over Rinaldo.

The Flyers and Eagles also share a lot of doctors, and Eskin handles sideline injury reports for the Eagles games, which means a lot of contact with those same doctors.

The Flyers have be a leader in blowouts in the playoffs in the last 10-15 years.
Just off the top off my head there were two 8-0 losses to Buffalo and now this. - GoFlyersGoSlovakia
I was at the last one against Buffalo. thankfully I was not at that poop show last night. I am not happy with Rindaldo's actions. He lost his cool and if Shanahan doesn't suspend him, I would hope Lavy takes him out. they took too many penalties. They played like they thought this series was over and no way in hell should they have expected the Pens to roll over. there is WAY too much talent on that team to get swept. They allowed the Pens way too much time and space....I could have skated thru some of those gaps. I hope this was just a case of the kids being too full of themselves and now they got female dog slapped and will come out Friday with much more intensity. I am annoyed that several shots to Grossman's head went uncalled and being one came from Malkin, I expect nothing from the NHL.

I don't think people here are worried about the Flyers being called goons. I think they're first and foremost concerned about winning hockey games rather than "winning" the extracurricular stuff.

agree 100%. I could have skated thru those gaps on my sprained ankle.
