What about unintential contact? 2 guys run into each and one has his head down, 5 game suspension? - Oilhab
If 2 players collide then its incidental contact. But if it was a check or late hit, that is a different story... Just like the follow through of a shot isnt a high stick...
I blame you. And the guy on here that posted the picture of Bryz holding a broom the other day. And the stoopid newspaper picture of Crosby yesterday.
Oh yeah, and Matt Carle. - rockychocbill
It's going to be a long rough weekend but at least the Canucks look like they have some life left, Ottawa could beat the Rangers in a three game series and I get to sleep in.
I feel in 73 days he will be playing for another team. - PLindbergh31
That could very well happen. However he is on the team now and I would like to see him (along with others) play much better so we can advance to the next round.
Anybody bring up that Bryz's foot could be bothering him? His lateral movement on two of the goals was absolutely horrible. He looked silly on the LeTang PP goal that ended up getting him pulled. - NickTheKid87
He looked fine laterally on the Letang highlight reel glove save.
Honestly, it's hard to tell with him because his lateral movement has never looked that great to me.
If Grossmann is out it moves Lilja/Kubina in the top four.
I would assume Gus gets the call. - stveshdy
Like Gus in the lineup for the simple fact that he is not below average in speed. Kubina has been ineffective offensively and when you compound that with already him being a shaky defensive player, you get a pylon.

There is a distinct difference in what you are suggesting there, and what happened last night. Malkin went for the hit.. and intentionally or not made contact with the head of Grossmann.
He transfers the weight of his body and THROWS the hit.. It was a glancing blow to Grossmanns head... the worse kinda hit you can take when it comes to concussions. - jak521
I know, but he was complaining about the way rules are written in the book.
I used that example to show that there are always exceptions and you could never account for every exception, so the rule has to be open to the refs discretion.
But as far as the hit, he did transfer his weight, but he also had to if he wanted to keep moving. This is what i see, he poked the puck away turned to follow the puck around the boards, grossman was there and he straightened his body up to maybe sneak by him, wasn't going to make it and decided to go through anyways, shoulder to a downed head and that was it.

I would scratch Kubina as well add Gus and MAB or MannDog

On the letang glove save he was moving in the other direction as opposed to that one last night. I would like to know which foot is hurt, would explain some things.

Of course. I have already stated I want my lasting memory of him to be riding down Broad St. on a float. Right now the images are all of egregious turnovers, penalties, and Penguins going around/through him like poop through a tin horn.

The glove save was more of luck on his part as well as a luge. It looked like he had trouble pushing off his foot last night to cover the other part of the goal.

I get to drive 5 hours on Saturday to help my oldest bring his stuff back home from University.
You never got back to me on my answers though. - rockychocbill
I didn't see his look -- I would just hope that he can bounce back -- he doesn't have to be awesome, just has to be good. Did you have any questions for me?

He has to be one of our better defenseman especially with all the injuries on the blueline. Hes made his mistakes but also has made some good plays. He needs to be more consistent in this series.
