I know it's taboo to criticize goaltending in here, but Bryz just doesn't look like he's moving around in net the same way he was in March IMO. And while the goalie can feed off good defense, the defense can feed off of good goaltending as well. They both have to improve at the same time

I was trying to hold back the laughter.
Just one of those games....nothing you can do but move on.
One game at a time. Didn't work out tonight, try again Friday. We've had great success at the Consol.
Let's get some good habits in Friday and hope goaltending improves. Not sure I want them to even advance if they'll continue to play like this. A future series against Boston, NY, hell, even Florida won't be barn-burners each night. They need to play some shut-down defense. May as well try Friday so we're good for the rest of the playoffs. - Domthebomb90
The one concern I have is, are the Flyers playing as best they can defensively and the pens are just that good to exploit them like that? The same could be said the other way too I suppose.

The thing is, I see everyone saying this phrase over and over "I can't blame Bryzgalov" Sure, goals will be scored, but to win a cup you not only need the goaltender to allow basically zero soft goals, you also need them playing at an elite level. If anyone thinks Bryzgalov has even been average they are watching different games than I am. Bryzgalov is being paid to stop all the routine shots, as well as making saves that are very difficult, for the most part he hasn't done either. Just calling it as I see it. - PLindbergh31
He's had his moments of brilience in games 1 and 2. The last two, not at all. He was shaky tonight, but the D was goddam disgraceful and didn't make any extraordinary saves. Ex Letangs ppg. It was a perfect shot, but he had time to get over enough to make a tough save and he wasn't even close
it was garbage...... real bad. Told them all to shut the (frank) up many a time - bigmookalookie
They trashed the fans the city and a lot of sly comments. They weren't doing that to Pittsburgh. So upsetting that I live in ny and have to listen to emericks dribble all night long. Next time I see snider I'm going to tell him to fire his ass

He has had his moments. The glove save on Letang was incredible.
The best he's been all series was in game 1, when the Flyers trailed 3-0, that game could have easily become 6-0 in the blink of an eye.

Anderson going toe to toe with Lundqvist and not giving an inch. - PLindbergh31
Good for him. We have a good young core just bad luck with goalies. Not that it's the goalies fault this game but if we had goaltending like that we would have a couple mor e cups for sure

Wasn't a bad goal, it was a hell of a shot - KINGKENZO
Sorry, can't agree there. It was a great shot, but from that far away, and at that angle, any NHL goalie should stop it. Even Bryz. Hell maybe even Bob would've had that one.
Might've been a little screen, but from that far out it shouldn't matter. He doesn't do it often, but Hank let in a bad one there.

In game 5? Thats all I want to know. - PT21
How early did Grossmann leave? Was it at a point where the game was out of reach and there was no point in sending him back out, for precaution? I didnt notice when he left.
