just gotta regroup here and win a game. Fleury had his worst of the series last game and now Bryz has had his. Flyers heads were too big coming into this game, got caught sleeping a bit, and the pens weren't going to get swept. Flyers are better road team, oh wait I think I said that earlier.

I wish our team played more like those teams playing in front of anderson and lundqvist.
- JoeRussomanno

Put lundquist in this game and they get lit up. Maybe not 10 to 3 but more like 6 to 3 we still loose

It seems like you fixate on me fixating on him,. I'm sorry but the guy is open to criticism.

I also said earlier today, he's benefitting greatly from Pittsburgh's lack of defensive awareness in this series. I see him scoring more goals in this series as it progresses but when we go up against the more defensive teams he's going to be more of a liability. I'm not even taking my previous stance that I hope it won't be the case, because what I saw tonight when pittsburgh decided to play some defense, his own defensive flaws were way more prevalent.

- JoeRussomanno

Of course he's open to criticism, but it seems like you jump on him whenever you can. You're getting on a guy for playing bad defense when the other team scores 10 goals.

It just doesn't make much sense to me, that's all.

lol, that's not exactly why he was tossed. He went after Cooke with a light shot to the head. Cooke went after Simmonds. Both got tossed. Nothing too serious, but with the game out of hand scorewise, the refs did the right thing to make sure it doesn't get out of hand physically too.

lol, oh well. next game this poop better be fixed. I wasted my excitement today for this garbage

Yes it is. It's really pretty simple. Or would you prefer that another melee happen, and risk injuries, suspensions, etc?

yep. and i also wish our goalie played more like anderson or lundqvist
- GoFlyersGoSlovakia

Those goalies have given up some not so pretty goals in that series. The team effort in front of them allows them to settle in and play better.

I think you guys will be fine. Still have 3 games to end it and with the embarrassing showing tonight, they will be ready for Friday for sure.

Honestly I've said my piece, you guys don't agree that's fine. I'm actually bored with the argument because in all likeliehood we are stuck with him. If somehow they can move him to the wing and limit his minutes I'd feel better but as it is you have to play him in the 2nd line center spot.

Surely all the soft goals are out of the way, those will be stopping in game 5.

I will say this much...

If they had to lose this game, I'd rather they lost playing poorly (as they clearly have) than playing a great game and still losing. Hopefully this will remove any overconfidence and make them realize they need to play well to have a chance against the Pens. A loss like this should burn, and hopefully enough so they don't want to feel it again. Better that than a close loss where they can say "we played well but didn't get the breaks" or some such BS.

Jackson just said Mezaros is skating. another argument I've been wrong on but am glad I was. I really though we wouldn't see him until september even if the Flyers went deep. But him skating already makes me think he could be back as long as they get past this round.

Very odd that these refs, who are calling everything, missed Grossman getting his head pressed between a forearm and the glass when one of them was standing 5 feet away watching it happen.

Absolutely. We've seen this before from this team. Where they've had a complete breakdown of the team game. And they've shown they can rebound from it. I fully expect a different game from them in game 5 and a victory to end the Series.

It's not that bad man. The Flyers weren't even supposed to win this series.

Still in the drivers seat, everyone would have signed on for a 3-1 series lead. I think the way the games are being played, and the total lack of defense and goaltending has people concerned.

The nice thing about playing the Pens is that even with some soft goals the game is still very winnable. Tonight it just seems like they lost focus and discipline. Keep that up and you can out pace them. Still, better to fix any holes these next game(s)

I can't believe that the flyers did not get one PP after the 1st period. Speaks volumes of their compete level for the rest of the game.

I didn't like the extra day off. I think it was more detrimental than beneficial.
