Why sit high in the slot, watch the puck bounce out and then watch staal go for it. He's riding high in the zone, that's known as cherry picking, it's a big reason why he gets so many goals this time of year, it's also why so many goals are scored when he is on the ice. You like him fine but me personally I wouldn't build a team with a guy like him.

I'm sorry but if the league keeps this sort of reffing and control over this game, I can honestly see the Pens coming back and winning the series. I know this sounds like panic on my part but that was a horrible 1st period and it's carrying over. There is tight but this is too tight. Time to loosen up a bit and allow them to play.

The Flyers benefitted from this supposed "over officiating" in the first period. The Penguins adjusted to the refs and the Flyers didn't.

It's obvious the focus wasn't there from the beginning. You score 8 goals two games in a row and it's naturally gonna inflate your head a bit. This is the biggest wake up call they could get. While it's hard to watch, I bet we see a different team on Friday.
