He doesn't seem like he is in a decline so far, Joe. 4 goals in 3 games.
- MJL

True fact. Briere is looking good. I agree he was not effective against Boston last year. He is obviously a smaller player that can pick his shoots and pick up rebounds by being elusive around the net. I hope they play BOS next round so he can prove you wrong Joe. I like our odds this year a lot better then last against BOS and I think if the team as a whole is playing better Briere will shine. Only one way to resolve this arguement. NYR, BOS, PHI, AND NJ need to win. Or BOS, OTT, PHI and FLD and then we could meet them next round.

Flyers saying the right things today

"It is what it is," Danny Briere said. "I can't change anything about that. Peter

- Jsaquella[Laviolette, coach] told us that suspension or not, it would be irrelevant to the game and I truly believe that. These guys have their backs to the walls so I expect them to play with a lot of desperation and that's why we have to be ready and leave it out all there tonight if we want to clinch."

Hard to know what team we'll see the first 20 minutes after the atrocious starts we've seen so far.

It's also against a team that is giving goals away. I'm trying to see it your way, believe me I am. At this point I wanna see what happens going forward, just have a bad feeling.
- JoeRussomanno

Are they really giving goals away? Why is credit not given to the flyers? They are playing excellent hockey and earning what they get.

Look at some of the goals on sunday. Brieres goal was perfect execution of a 3 on 2. Jagr owned dupuis and fed a perfect pass to giroux.

If any of us could answer that, we'd be working for the Flyers or another organization and not posting stuff here.

So 2nd night of pre-cana followed by my own hockey game. What are the odds I make it through that without finding out the score of the game (im DVRing it)

Yea this is true the Flyers are executing great. I just think Pitt isn't giving a full effort defensively.

Uh, Joe...HE HAS BEEN PROVING YOU WRONG!!!! You were worried in the regular season. Now that he's scoring in the playoffs you're complaining about his defense-which has never been that good-and the quality of competition.

considering all the pen fans you have in there ugh I don't know. I gotta say, I was joking with the marriage remark last time you brought it up, but man the pre cana, Only thing I remember about my precana is it was boring, and me getting into a debate about the church's stance on birth control with the councilor (he made 300 k a year and was preaching to us about not using birth control, like people who make 50 k a year can feed 10 kids as easily as him). That's about it. Yes I took it seriously too. Just saying none of that stuff has helped my marriage survive all these years and looking back I wish I stuck to my guns on the birth control stance see i can concede defeat in a debate Just wish I didn't that time

I know where this is going, and no I wouldn't complain about the root of the parade His defense may have always been a problem but that shouldn't absolve him either. Like I said for the I don't know how many times now, I think it will be a problem against teams like Boston and New york.

It could well be. But, it hasn't been a problem in the past against defensive minded teams with hot goalies like Montreal or Buffalo, and in 2010 versus Boston.

That is a beautiful piece. more devastating to the pens than anything they flyers could say to them. Any pens fan that reads that, their eyes will bleed.

That Boston team is light years away from the one we could face this year.

Fleury hasnt been very good. Thats for sure. I think this series has more to do with how well the flyers are playing than how poor the pens are playing.

Another goal that comes to mind was the read goal from Jagr on the PP. If read shoots that puck an inch either way it either hits fleury or the post. just a perfect shot.

allright way off topic, but there's a lot of guys in this room whose opinions i respect, including some of those i debate with.....

my next door neighbor works on my car. he charged me 610 dollars in feb for repairs to my car. he never did them and now insists i have to pay him about the same amount for the same repairs. i trusted him a lot so when he asked me for money i just handed it over without complaint. but he tried jabbing me again on price, so i got pissed and i looked through my texts and there it was the 610 dollars i gave him went to repairs that still are not done and he insists i have to pay him that money. basically the way i see it, he owes me 670 dollars. or the equivelent in repairs.

how should i break this to him? should i be prepared to protect myself? i think he's picked up a habit as well.

Just pay me my money mother F'er!!!!

Off topic does anybody else know where I can score some crank?
