actually i didnt we all sometimes close our eyes and good things happen.for 50 mill i would expect him to play like rinne or quick, sorry i dont except sub par goaltending for that kind of money.the way he moves around in the net he reminds me of cechmanek.just my two cents

I find this comment totally bias and no need for further exchange. I don't know what to tell you. I'll say this though, for 50 million dollars you gotta goalie that has played good enough to give you a 3-0 series lead over a team that was picked by every National analyst and Vegas odds makers to put you away in 4 or 5 games.

Bryzgalov wasn't better than Fleury. He just wasn't as bad as Fleury.

All I know, not that it's just him, there have obviously been a lot of key contributors. But if not for some big saves at key moments, this Series isn't 3-0. The Flyers could easily be down 2 games if it wasn't for those key saves.

ya i agree he has made some great saves but what if the flyers score 3 tonight do you think they win?
- richiewinthecup

I don't think there's any team out there that's gonna score 3 on Pittsburgh with the way they are built, that can beat them.

I'm somewhere in between right now. I look around the league and see how tight the games are. I still have concerns for Bryz. The type of hockey we've seen in this series so far is far and away the exception, not the rule for this time of year. He's going to have to elevate his game even further moving forward. I'm hoping he can.

Great save, no doubt. But he's only the 4th most valuable player on his team right now. Let alone the rest of the players playing in these playoffs.
- rockychocbill

I hope you don't have Briere ahead of him. Don't get me wrong what he's doing is great, but he's playing one way hockey that is leaving the Flyers vulnerable. Thankfully Bryz has been the equalizer.

It was a play on words meaning that Bryzgalov (yes he made a few spectacular saves) isn't really playing great.

He'll have to be a lot better than that in round 2.

Everything is in place for a sweep ,loosing neal a home game etc. It may be 3-0 us but all the pressure is on us to end this. From reading all the pregame quotes I think all our guys know that.

Maybe I should get cocky knowing the players wont be and finally allow my self to stop worrying.

Provided the Flyers advance, I think it evens out. Was he bad in game 3 yes. But even in that game he shut it down in the third period. I don't think its fair right now to look around the league. Not everyone else is playing the penguins.

The only other comparisons that can be fairly drawn is probably the Detroit/Nashville series. But Nashville's goalie is a colossus in net with two of the top five defensemen playing in front of him.

Vancouver has basically thrown in the towel.

With the Ranger/Senator series Brian Boyle is looking like Eric Lindros minus the fighting.

This is also a series that is probably more emotionally charged than the rest too.

He's played really good in the first two games. If you don't agree I don't know what to tell you. I'm judging those performances based on the fact the goals were just good plays by the Penguins. Also he made saves that he had no business making, also he hasn't let anything in through all third periods in all three games. His counterpart accross the ice hasn't exactly done the same, in fact it's quite the opposite in that he's gotten weaker as games went on.

Chris Lee has been an NHL ref since 2000-01 (full-time since 2001-02). He's reffed 659 regular season games. Tonight is just his 5th playoff game assignment.
