boyle flipped him over and was about to kill him, are you blind - cnugget99
was he not man enough to fight him standing up? at least carkner tried to fight him while he was standing, but boyle dropped like a steaming pile of poop. does he have something against staying up on his skates. |

In the end, Ottawa wins this one, depending on Alfie's status. Rangers lost dubi for one game, possibly Hagelin for a game or two, and they don't have to waste a roster spot or Carkner next game. Only way it evens out is if Alfie is down for an extended period of time. |

After spending much time on the Sens and Rangers threads i can honestly say, debating this stuff during the heat of the battle is pointless. Normally, level headed posters, have been struck retarded. Im pretty sure, a player on either of these teams could pull out a hand gun and shoot someone, and they would still be vehemently defended by his respective fan base.
Ranger fans seeing no fault in Hagelin's hit, or Boyle's decision not to answer the bell, and the Sens fans seeing no fault in Carkner, tells you all you need to know about how objective a fan of any team is during the post season.
Let the hate flow!

The rangers, Boyle had it coming after punching karlisson. In comparison, how would they feel if Neil started jabbing gaborik in the face? I get it playoffs are tough, but karlisson wasn't even near the scrum when Boyle jumped him
preds, also had it coming after what Weber did.
I didn't see the blues and sharks game so I don't now what's with that - Danformo
You are right man. Karma is why the Preds lost.... |

it amazes me how big of pussies your team and fans are - cnugget99
The only pussies I saw were in Ranger jerseys.
You want to play the game you stand up when challenged and drop the gloves. Seems Ranger players only want to dance when they have a distinct advantage over players that are smaller.
I have no issue with what Carkner did except he shouldn't have let up. I'm sick of a game being ruined by cheap shot artists that hide behind the officials or turtle when they are taken to task for their CS antics.
These wimps that injure star players then hide like school girls should be out of the league. It's ruining the sport.
I'm not a Sens fan but I hope they hit the ice at home with physical punishment in mind. The Rangers want to play dirty then turn about is fair play. Perhaps a serious charge into Lundqvist or an elbow to the head of one of the non combative Rangers forwards would send the message.

But when the Rangers do it it's justice and the team standing up for themselves. When it happens to the Rangers it's thuggery and the league needs to intervene. - Ben37
Dude , your team is getting its ass handed to it so I'm not surprised you have to come and bash on the rangers. Go Flyers!!!!!! |

Maybe if your coach had a little emotion or knew how to "coach", Lavi and the Flyers wouldn't be making the pens their female doges. |

Carkner and Konpka started on the ice at the same time as Boyle. Boyle should have know his due was coming even before the two got into the corner. Boyle turtled when a man his size game looking. |

Hagelin should get 2 or 3.......pretty deliberate
Carkner should get a pat on the back.......if Boyle is gonna go after a wussy star he needs to answer the bell.......if he doesn't want to, then don't go after the star. He desreved a punch in the face whether he wanted to fight or not. - jimdavis

from the thread i would think the pens are playing the rags, get over it you are both whiners
anyways get rid of the instigator rule, let players enforce themselves a bit again and some of the dumb nonsense stuff will stop |

Really? The Rangers played physical hockey all year. the sens weren't ready for it. The rangers won't back down. Expect killer Karlsson to get more of the same. Spezza, too. What boyle did was not cool but the Sens took it to a totally new level. And we'll have to agree to disagree on the Carkner/ Boyle incident. We obviously see it differently. Let the suspensions fall where they may and play on.
