suspending players in the playoffs is a crime, let the game sort itself out. - cnugget99
playoffs should be played on the edge, it makes it exciting, but when you elbow someone in the head after headshots have been in the light well you should be suspended
and weber should have been suspended but his name saved him
no, i watched him grab on to neil for dear life and try to fall to the ice as fast as humanly possible, without even attempting to throw a punch. sorry, boyle is a pu$$y - sensarmy_11

Oh, you mean the same kind of mugging that happened when the Isle attacked the Pens but everybody hates mario for saying something about it. Furthermore.... one of Torts angels takes a head shot? NOOOOOOO Cant be.... Torts team is totally clean. Torts is the biggest crying SOB Embarrassment. Didn't see him blow up about no respect after what Boyle did in game one. Also didn't blow up after the head shot last night. Double standard hypocrite!
GO OTTAWA! - madmike71
hey dont get it confused, mario wasnt saying much, he was more crying and whining
i still dont know how the pens pretty much got away from fines and stuff that the isles got hit with

So by that logic then carkner is a stand up guy for what he did...

Anyone else and this looks really bad, however Boyle is 6'6 and 250 lbs and throws them once in a while.
the ONLY coward on the ice last night was boyle, and he displayed it not once, but twice. - sensarmy_11
oh yeah boyle is a reallll coward, he had two fights last night and 2 goals and played a whole (frank)ing game of tough hockey. yeah thats a coward, you canadian fans are truly basketcases. you won the game, what are you crying about??? i think you affraid, thats the only game you're going to win this series

i never said what carkner did was right. however, he did give boyle a chance to drop them. boyle clearly didnt' want to answer for what he did, and carkner decided to pop him anyways. what carkner did was probably wrong, but if he didn't do it, the rags players would have continued to think they could run the sens players with no consequences. so, what carkner did was probably wrong, but it needed to be done, and boyle got EXACTLY what he deserved.

You need to watch that game again. One attack from behind, pulled Talbot to the ice and started punching him. Another when Gillies just flat out suckers Tangradi (non-fighter) and gives him a concussion.
They avoided fines because they didn't start any of it.
oh you pulled a dirty one, i thought you were talking about the other fight. and boyle would of won this if the refs didnt step in ! - cnugget99
boyle grabbed on to neil and pulled him down as fast as he could. he didn't even attempt to throw a punch until the linesman was laying on top of neil.

2 fights??? i thought you said carkner jumped him without giving him a chance to defend himself. now you're saying it was a fight. make up your mind.

After spending much time on the Sens and Rangers threads i can honestly say, debating this stuff during the heat of the battle is pointless. Normally, level headed posters, have been struck retarded. Im pretty sure, a player on either of these teams could pull out a hand gun and shoot someone, and they would still be vehemently defended by his respective fan base.
Ranger fans seeing no fault in Hagelin's hit, or Boyle's decision not to answer the bell, and the Sens fans seeing no fault in Carkner, tells you all you need to know about how objective a fan of any team is during the post season.
