At least you Canucks fans get to WATCH your team in the playoffs.

Leaf fans are left with nothing but amateur golf and schadenfreude when the playoffs come around every year.

Kesler for Nash.
Luongo for Stamkos.

Sounds reasonable, should that be enough?

So what head coaching options are out there? I guess Mac T is the front runner.

Bob Hartley should probably be in the conversation. I could also see Gillis going under the radar and picking up someone from the AHL that he thinks is ready to make the jump.

You're right, they definitely can't handle pressure. Unlike the Oilers, they thrive in the big games.
- Brandon_Lee

this is why oiler fans hate canuck fans. just pointing out a trend about your team, and you got to be a hater. good conversation. enjoy your summer cheering against the hawks

Well Kesler centering Booth has been a roaring success... Good thing they didn't waste time seeing if Hodgson could play between them before shipping him out.
- DrChristianTroy

Ya it still makes my blood boil thinking about that.... would it have been so difficult to try it out for 3-5 games with Kes and Booth on the wing... Kesler played some of his best hockey on the wing with sundin. His speed and ability is better suited for the wing... he can't pass for poop and holds onto the puck until he gets checked or shoots wide.

Booth and him have ZERO chemistry... they need to try him on the first line with hank.

Just get it over with and lose Wednesday. If they do win, there will be a game 6 tough. God I hate myself for having any optimism.

And AV follows him shortly.

No just a very shocked King's fan. I'm so stoked right now but the series isn't over so I'm gonna hold off on the gloating.

For now I wait

I've been watching them closely. If they just stopped giving up runs in the 8th and 9th inning they'd have a damn near perfect record so far this season.

Trading Hodgson was unreal. Through most of the year I was lamenting with my old man (also a Hawk fan) about the depth and matchup problems he would present in the playoffs - pretty jealous was I of that Nuck draft pick. Of course it's no secret that our rivalry exists - and, so far, I'm pretty happy with the trade. Seriously though, it could work out in the long term, but that's why you make trades like that in the offseason.

Excited for Gillis' elimination game presser to address the officials.

Lapierre lost this game for his team. Every time the Nucks got momentum he took a stupid penalty.
