That's a rule? Really?

Yeah, it's why Howard had to become a ref, all the other mods were sick and tired of pointing it out to him, *whistling and walking away*

Is he back playing with Rattie and Bartschi? I noticed he only put up 1 pt in the first round but he was playing on the 2nd line ....that first line in Portland is killin' it.
- The Law

I believe he was on the second line but I will have to double check it.

Who do you like out of the top 5 in the draft, it's kind of a crap shoot to me after Yakapov.

100%

I'm realizing more and more that even though Leafs fans say they want a "proper rebuild" it's clear by how they are all but writing off Schenn and Kadri that they simlpy do not have the patience for a proper rebuild.

- Juice

Most of the talk about a "proper rebuild" on these boards is from people who would rather obsess and argue about one future pick over another. Biggest room for the team to improve is through the improvement of the kids already in the organization. Unless Yakupov is a real franchise player, I would be very nervous about trading too much to move up. (It is also ridiculous to assume that Burke will make any trade that hurts his chances to get team into play-offs this year.)

Besides the obvious goalie and first line centre issue, we need more leadership. To me, the issue is less Dion and more the A's on the team -- especially Armstrong and Komi. The kids' development needs to be supported by leaders who are doing it on the ice.

I agree. I think there are several good players, but only one potential great one. But let's face it - until they play in the NHL, we won't know. There's no Crosby, Malkin, etc. there.

...True story, our office had a 3 hour grammar lesson last night tought by a woman who eats, sleeps and makes passionate love to sentences. I hate it ...had to sneak out for a mid-lesson pint. Although, she did validate my use of words like 'and' and 'because' at the beginning of a sentence. Turns out our grade school teachers were wrong!

Just tell me you don't use the phrase "I seen that" ....that one bugs me ...growing up in London I had the pleasure of hearing it way too much.

I have heard comparisons of Grigirinko and Galchenyuk to Malkin in some blogs.

Agreed ...I think there's the potential for a lot of shuffling around (trades) in the top 10.
