I'm not allowed to talk about it. It's an ongoing investigation.

What the hell, the CSI team has been hovering around here for a day now, them and there fancy graphics, they don't realize who's jurisdiction there in, damn conceded investigators.

Hope I'm wrong especially for the Leafs but I really don't see a superstar out of this class, not even an elite player, again I hope I'm wrong.

just on sheer odds there has to be 1 or 2. Although will probably be a 2nd rounder like Lucic was.

ah (frank)ing hell there I went and reminded myself of that again...

hmm, big hard hitting stay at home dman with suspect mobility isn't suited for a run and gun up tempo system?

In other news, the sky is blue, and my farts stink

- Big_Lightnin

some guys are able to play a solid two way game is all i mean.. it "seems" schenn cant without sacrificing defense

personally i'd be happy with a consistent 20 points so long as the defense comes first for schenn.

I dunno, sounds like Leafs fan defensive mode....don't worry I am guilty too. I am optimistic for some reason. A few ppl such as Huddle and other writers for prospect sites have said that the top 5 this year is fairly good. I think we can at least draft a good player which I am fine with.

Note on Brad Ross last night, of the 4 goals, two SH goals, one PP goal, one at even strength.

That will come in time. Schenn's progressing exactly as he should for a 22 year old stay at home dman.

that was more a shot at the coaching decision to go with an up tempo game when the team has 3 dmen over 6'3 who can't skate (could even suggest they have 4 such dmen... )

agreed.. and i have said time and time again we wont really know what the leafs have in him til his mid twenties when he has matured enough as an individual to be able to look at himself and realize his strengths and weaknesses

as with most people in their early twenties they over extend themselves and try to do too much

anybody who states maturity isnt a factor has no concept of how humans work as people.

Criticizing is one thing...and I never claimed that wasn't valid.

But that also shouldn't deflect the fact that Burke has built organizational depth that we haven't seen in years.

And the 'tools' I was referring to were those that are calling for his head, without considering all variables.

- Pen15

The Marlies success is proving the rebuild is underway. He has tonnes of prospects, no real potential stars beyond Gardiner as of this time, but he has solid NHL players in the system now, which we have never had before. We talk about rebuilding thru the draft, but we have to wait for those young players to make the team. Wish we would have had our lower picks that went to Boston, but he believed in his players and his coach those years and got burned for it.

The Leafs need a couple trades, a couple prospects to pick up and a free agent ot two. I'm guessing we're 5 players away from a competing team in the playoffs. Unfortunately they are some big role positions. Veteran Dman, Superstar Centre, Veteran goaltender that can have 920 save percentage or greater, 2 or 3 big wingers that can play and tussle

100%

I'm realizing more and more that even though Leafs fans say they want a "proper rebuild" it's clear by how they are all but writing off Schenn and Kadri that they simlpy do not have the patience for a proper rebuild.

Careful there Jimi James. No need to get personal. The fact that I think Schenn sucks, doesn't make me dumb. It's my opinion.

well.. i will hand wilson one piece of credit.. he knew damn well that was going to be the only way the leafs could score.. as soon as they tried to play carlyle's system the offense dried up.. because there are no forward personel capable of playing a true grind it out forecheck

burke needs to address this over the summer. even if its not a true blue superstar.. get a servicable big man to fill the void for now and to do a little crashing and banging

I also noticed that McKegg had a slow 2-4 games to begin but now has had a strong final few and is 2nd in scoring on the Knights in the playoffs.

Edit: I just looked, 2pts in the first 3 games and in his next 3 he had 6pts.

my assumption is that those people themselves are in their early twenties and dont realize it because they themselves are in their early twenties and they dont realize the growing they have in front of them yet
